Everybody has their own opinion on it. And when I tell you everybody has an opinion, listen ev-ery-bo-dy wants to give their input. And that’s fine. My friends can’t believe how many DMs I have when I open Instagram. It’s usually either a little kid or a college kid telling me how awesome their school is. I try to respond to most of them. Except when it’s like a grown man I don’t know telling me what I should do. Those ones crack me up the most.

He was being honest. Saying most people were saying Clemson but he didn't really know why because from all accounts James hadn't told anyone. It was all guessing. And Vol coaches were confident they were in it. I think Rob knew that the Vol coaches thought he was going to be a Vol and had the story but in typical conservative VQ fashion he didn't go out on a limb like most reporters would have on other sites in case the kid was trolling and picked Clemson. So now he looks good and Clemson reporters look like jackasses.

Anything that makes a Clemson reporter look like a jackass (which apparently is not that difficult) is a good thing.

James is a stellar athlete. His biggest issue he needs to fix is shooting. He's a very poor outside shooter at the moment and mechanics are not good. If he can develop even an average outside shot he'll be a very good college guard.
