Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), the ranking Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee and the conduit through whom California professor Christine Blasey Fordā€™s allegations about Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh came to light, expressed doubts about that allegation for the first time Monday.

According to Fox Newsā€™s Chad Pegram, Feinstein told his fellow Fox reporter Connor Marley, ā€œI canā€™t say that everything is truthful. I donā€™t know.ā€

Senate Judiciary Committee ranking Democrat Dianne Feinstein on Tuesday blamed Republicans for failing to get in touch with Brett Kavanaugh accuser Christine Blasey Ford ahead of a planned hearing on Monday, even as GOP leaders said they've made repeated attempts to reach out, and accused Feinstein of refusing to help.

Feinstein, who has vouched for Ford's credibility, also admitted she could not verify that Ford's allegations were entirely true.

Lol...so easy to see coming. Why would an accuser have an interest in an FBI investigation? Just call the local DA.

This is 100% about delaying the vote and protecting red state Senators.

And I think as a show of solidarity all 49 Dims should refuse to even vote.

This pretty much all rest on Jeff Flake. If he wonā€™t vote for Kavanaugh until some sort of dog and pony show investigation is complete, then the nomination canā€™t make it out of the committee.

The whole thing is going to crap pretty fast. On both sides. It's like they are in a race to say the most irresponsible thing they possibly can.

It shouldn't be delayed at all. Impeach if you need to, but right now, this is more likely political than real concern. There's no way you can prove it. And I understand that due process doesn't reserve your career, but in my opinion it should. Justice should be left to the justice system. Not mobs.
