Just wait until.we bring alcohol. INTO the stadium. I am sure that will make things a whole lot better in the student section.
I walked right in once with a red solo cup full of beer. It didn't dawn on me until I saw the troopers standing about 50 feet up the ramp. I put it down to my side and got behind a couple of people and strolled on by.I was such a noob about bringing it in ... many years ago, the lady cop patted me down, and was disappointed, perhaps, that what she found in my overalls pocket was only a tall Bud.
Little frat boy`s showing out for other little frat boys. Little Miss Sugar peaches was giggling and impressed by the blatant disrespect for the announcers pleas. In the meantime Daddy deposits another check as he proudly tells the bank clerk his son is majoring in liberal Arts. Little Miss Sugar peaches calls home with the news she just found her significant other. Who won the game peaches? "Oh Daddy"
Every fan base does have it, but UT games are usually safe for opposing teams. That isn’t true in the Swamp, hence my strong feeelings for the fans there. It doesn’t happen in LSU’s Death Valley either. Both of those stadiums are places to stay away from in my book. At The Swamp, I’ve been cussed out, threatened to fight, thrown beer on. I did observe a few years ago at UT in the apartment section some OU fans who were walking through there and from a second floor balcony 2 young men called out to them, told them they were trash and proceeded to drop their drawers and show them the moon and turn around to show them that they were truly fully “grown” men. That was really the only deplorable action that I have even seen at a UT game.
The same committee that thinks it's a good idea to serve alcohol at the game.
If they cant act civilized cut their discount.. You want to get drunk and act stupid do it at home or face consequences. Well they're just college kids is not an excuse for acting a fool
What does throwing fans have to do with damaging stuff or people? If by "college kids" you mean people aged 18 to as old as 22 that are legal adults in the eyes of the law, yes.
Let them, or anyone that attends a football game, be it at UT, ETSU, Meigs County, wherever, drink, cheer, have fun, whatever. But if they do anything that has a reasonable chance of causing damage or hurting someone, even if unintentionally, make it known that nany game that happens at will be their last Vols game they can attend, at least through the end of the season.
Nothing about a UT game or any sports game is worth risking a night or more in the Knox County Jail.
