Complete BS, everyone knows the only way to gain revenue is taxation of the rich by the poor. (Standing in the rain, thunder in background) Its not raining!

You just ruined CWVs game.

I haven't noticed the prices of goods and services falling since the tax cuts. Fact is that these particular companies are in a highly regulated industry and are returning some of the tax savings to consumers because of that regulation.

Quick question... what is the net effect of this tax cut for these companies vs the net effect of giving the tax cut directly to the consumers?

So it's bad regardless of the reason?

I didn't complain about rates falling, but that article was a fluff piece that didn't recognize the fact that this industry is an anomaly.

There’s more than one article about it , they aren’t just “fluff pieces” . I’m sure you’ve looked around at all the ones written right ?

You can try to spin this anyway you want , we all knew that would happen . The simplest answer is usually the best since there’s no room to spin it . Did these utilities lower their charges because of the GOP taxes cuts ?

Not sure what you are asking but a tax cut was given directly to customers in addition to a lowering of the corporate rate.

Can you answer your own question above with any specificity?

How much carefully analysis have you done on the prices of goods and services since the tax cut? Have you even tried to quantify any change at all?

Finally, do you believe raising the corporate rate would not impact the prices of goods and services? IOW, is there any relationship between the corporate tax rate and the prices of goods and services?

The tax cuts for business were designed to create jobs, of course companies that were struggling will cover the bottom line first, others who were flush gave bonuses right away. Utilities companies, that pat taxes, built their tax rate into the cost so they are making more profits immediately. The consumer tax cuts were designed to create more buying power and it did, of course those deep in debt will pay off those cards first. Create more production, reduce unemployment and increase spending what a great deal. This is economics 101 stuff. Now you can expect GDP to increase bigly, wages to increase slowly and inflation to follow shorty after.

Corporate contribution to tax revenues is around 10%. But you also have double taxation of dividends.

Why would prices fall? How would you notice it if they did? You'd have to be cybernetic rain man to calculate that ****.
