Pruitt said Ty is day to day but probably won’t play this week

Good. We won’t need him. I wouldn’t even let Jordan see the field much.

Let Banks get his feet wet. Give London some film for NFL guys. Hell, see what Fant can do back there.

Save our workhorses for when they’re needed.

"Hey Coach, how long is it going to take you to build a championship team for us?"
Haha that's one of the calls I was talking about. The other was a caller talking some isht about WVU players eating during halftime and their coach thinks that's why they won the game. Then he asked if CJP cared to comment on UT's halftime procedure. Hahaha you can't make this stuff up.

I'll tell you what if we don't absolutely blow ETSU off the ball on both sides Saturday, that's going to be very concerning. I still remember us struggling to block Indiana State last year and thinking to myself, we're headed up crap creek.
You're exactly right about blowing them off both sides of the ball, the whole game, no reason we shouldn't if we bring right amount of intensity and effort.
Forget last year, man, it's over. Let's stick to your original point about this wkend, nothing else; this wkend should be the most important thing being discussed right now, besides Kennedy's injury. What do you think we have to do this wkend to make sure of what you were talking about, blowing them off the ball? Who you going with/what combo across OL now that Kennedy is out?

Actually, I was surprised by that because I've seen it discussed here and 2 different callers asked about it. To be honest with you I thought about the same thing on Saturday night when Pruitt first mentioned it after the game. He said different coaches have different philosophies and I'm sure that's true. The reason I thought about it was because I thought we were building momentum going into halftime and then it sort of looked to me like some of our guys came out flat after the weather delay. It's been a long while since I played football and basketball but I think players have routines that they go through to get up for a game mentally and so whatever routine we establish I think they'll adjust to. I don't know if it was an issue this time or not. Obviously it wasn't an issue for the coach. jmo.
