I've got bad news fellas. This rebuild is going to take longer than we hoped, and should in no ways be compared to Kirby.
2020 is the earliest you are going to potentially see what you are looking for.
2019 will be improvement, but still probably 7-8 wins.
4 non conference wins, Vanderbilt, Kentucky and Missouri should be wins. 7 should be the minimum IMO. I'll probably go into next year thinking 8 or 9. It's easier said that done, but I'm really going to try to enjoy the process of getting back with Pruitt. I just want to see improvement each week and try to temper expectations a little. When it happens it happens.2019 we play 3 non conference cupcakes plus BYU. Ky, Vandy, and Mizz without Lock. That should easily be 7 wins at a minimum
We are the worst SEC team until proven otherwise. 4-8 again this year (given that we've already dropped the P5 OOC game unlike last year) wouldn't be a huge surprise. We'll know more after Florida, but just getting to a bowl game in year two very well may be a realistic goal.
In order to win 10 games we need 3 years of top 5-10 classes.6 wins has always been the bar for this year. Things are never as good as they seem through the Summer and pre-season camp. Next year 7-9 wins, 2020 10+. Sux, but that’s the reality of this program after the mismanagement of Hamilton, Curry, and the Haslams.

Agreed, a lot of it depends on QB play, rebuilding the lines on both sides (Jucos will help) and top 10 recruiting classes. Think by 2020 should be SEC east champs.
We all thought talent wasn’t the issue, it was development. I’ve come to the scary conclusion, it’s both.
Pruitt is recruiting the talent, but the development is going to take years to see the full fruit. Fortunately Fulmer knows what a team should look like, and from this beginning he should have a reasonable expectation of rate of growth to judge the staff on a continual basis.
Butch truly was about to run this completely into the ground. Pretty much has... and Currie was looking for any reason to save him till Mizzou. SMH

Yeah I’m guilty of thinking it’s just a development issue and not a talent issue but it is both. And by a lot more than I thought possible. WVU is a good team no doubt. But I think there are at least 4 other teams on our schedule that would beat them. Having said that, from what we have seen from Pruitt so far including recruiting, game management, and response after the game, we gone be aight eventually. We all thought talent wasn’t the issue, it was development. I think it's more fit than talent. Fils Amie, Trey Coleman, etc guys like that won't play because of the fit. Pruitt needs to get his criteria of guys here and then develop. That will take some time.
