It really irritates me how they pump the team up and then when we fall flat on our faces we get all these reports about how bad our talent is and how this isn’t getting fixed any time soon.

These guys see 10 mins of practice and usually its players doing routine practice drills. I would take those "reports" with a grain of salt.

ennessee started Tuesday's practice outdoors before lightning in the area forced them inside.

Defensively, it continues to be technique work to clean up the mistakes made in the West Virginia game because of fundamentals.

Freshman linebacker JJ Peterson remains in the acclimation period and is still trying to get a handle on how to do drills and the pace of things. Peterson was receiving a lot of individual instruction during the fundamental work in practice. At one point for a few minutes, even head coach Jeremy Pruitt was in linebacker drills.

Offensively, running back Ty Chandler who didn't practice on Monday and was listed as day to day by Pruitt was back on the practice field on Tuesday. Pruitt said Chandler got “dinged up” when asked about him during Monday's press conference.

On the offensive line Drew Richmond and Marcus Tatum appeared to be getting the work at right tackle as it looks like there was no real shuffling of personnel and positions during the individual work.

Also wide receiver Maleik Gray has a new number. Gray was wearing the number 17 during Tuesday's practice. That would mean that Gray would could play on any snap that where Dominique Wood-Anderson is on the field.

Players who haven't earned PT but think they deserve it anyway have the kind of attitude this staff is trying to eliminate. Some players lose the attitude and sometimes, the team needs to lose the player.

How many do you think we ultimately lose to leaving?

I think we have seen enough football to say that about Abernathy but imo Buchanan gets longer before saying this
Warrior had a few plays that will be very tough to defend in film review as well. His best coverage was on the play that Grier dropped an indefensible time for a TD. But there is a video of him blatantly avoiding a tackle. It's the play that Sills was force out of bounds and then caught like a 20 yard slant. Ran for 10 more or so. Go watch it. You will NOT be impressed.

We recruited fine (not amazing but fine) under butch. Put a lot of players in the nfl. We should’ve won 10 games two years here and it would’ve elevated recruiting even more. We didn’t and that’s that.

I’m sure you can’t/won’t say much with your position with the team, but do you see improvements from current staff over previous staff that gives you hope of good things to come?

Saw that as well. He also got beat over the top by Sills on his TD in the 3rd quarter. Bad day by the secondary overall.

It'll be interesting to see how much Buchanan can improve. He's had some nagging injuries and has been an inconsistent player, but he has an opportunity to step up. Warrior definitely can play better than he did Saturday. Shamburger has the size and the athleticism-- just needs more effort and intensity. That's three players with a higher ceiling and the potential to improve. Factor in three more weeks of experience for the FR and it's reasonable to expect the secondary to be better by UF.

Which I think is why we as a fanbase were surprised by the lack of attrition to this point. These guys have to realize they aren't a fit going forward and will get minimal opportunities to prove otherwise. At best the majority are placeholders for the next two recruiting cycles.

Gonna have a few guys see the writing on the wall after this season or they will get recruited over.

Cool, me too. I know JCLV from Blackthorn.
Ok. I'm not a member there but live across the street (JCLV and I used to be neighbors) and I play over there some. He'll have to introduce us. I'm sure you're a lot more fun to hang out with haha.

I walk around the course and test ball endurance. I eat club food way too often. Fun? Ehhh...I'm an engineer. Like JCLV, I will be wearing both orange and blue Saturday.

I think others would have followed Coleman by today if they seriously intended to bail during the season. Postseason will be a different story. We'll need to trim the roster and those who have little chance at PT will be told that.

I want to see a healthy dose of Deandre Johnson these next two games. Sit Kongbo on anything that requires a pass rush.

We HAVE to find a pass rush.

Also what are your thoughts on unleashing JJ Peterson on kickoff duty? Just let him go smack somebody, then head to the bench, hydrate, and just pump iron on the sideline while he waits.

If the pictures of JJ are anywhere close to being accurate, he couldn’t mow the grass without getting winded no less run down the field. I wouldn’t count him at all this season.

Watched the game again and Micah Abernathy and Buchanan dont need to see the field after that performance.

And the problem is they're the best we currently have to put on the field. Pruitt is limited on the talent he has to work with in the secondary, which is evident by so many freshman making contributions.

I'm an ETSU alum as well. When I play over there I usually make sure the out of bounds and hazards are properly marked haha

And luckily Franks isn’t near as good as Grier. However UF has some very talented WR’s so I expect Mullen to test our secondary often. Few 50/50 balls to Grimes. We have to find pressure early

Curious about the last sentence as to why we need to trim the roster. Isnt their a limit to how many we can take regardless of who leaves?
