Expectations. Expectations. Y'all need to quit wallering in expectations. Aight? Has anyone ever said after a season was over that a team performed "better-than-expected?" I think so. Go Vols!

Guys like you are why OV and others don’t post anymore. LA vol, you can keep posting for these guys if you wish. I shared info and get this. This RF has become the FF. Good luck. Don’t have time for this crap.

I was mocking your "I told you so" post regarding kids transferring out. That has been discussed fairly regularly since 12/7/2017. I'm not familiar with you enough to even realize you were one of the insider types who shares info, so I wasn't mocking anything you allegedly shared.

I'm sorry my internet words upset your delicate sensibilities.

WTF is up with our recruiting evals? Are we going after kids who have fake offers from other schools and legit 4*s want absolutely nothing to do with us?

Or did Butch and his staff just coach all of the talent and instincts out of the guys they recruited?

A lot of it has to do with scheme fit. Fils Amie and Trey Coleman are examples of guys that just wouldn't play here based on our offensive scheme. Kongbo was a D-Tackle in Butch's system and now he's a linebacker. That should tell you where we are right now.

I think it’s time to shut the doors and close the football program. We have a FCS roster, an inexperienced HC who lost his 1st game, so he should be fired, and a fan base imploding on itself. Let’s be like Coleman and just quit.
Burn Neyland to the ground!

Btw, I don’t usually do this, but @HoleInTheRoof, your comment to @JacketVol was out of line and uncalled for. He has been a very respected poster on this board for a long time. He wasn’t tooting his own horn, but giving the heads up that there is more quitting to come. You should consider apologizing, as many of us would like to keep JacketVol around here.

Pruitt didn't pursue some players the last staff was recruiting. I remember he was looking for talent all over the country and new names kept popping up. I am going to assume he evaluates players by sight or word of mouth rather than star ratings.

Weird. Honestly....

I thought Kongbo at one point was reluctant to gain weight and play DT? Am I remembering that correctly?

Why didn't he say that when Rivals had them ranked so highly?

Sometimes I write a lot of comments and never post them. Probably a smart move. So I don't know if I already said this but after the VQ dissing of some of our players by name this AM I went and looked at where they had Richmond ranked in 2015. #2 OT and 12th best player in the country. They're never at a loss it seems when trying to sell us a new recruit so they're making money both ways. Great job guys.

I just went through the roster and counted about 20 players (no freshman) who probably will never see the field other than possibly special teams. We will probably have a mass exodus of Trumpet and Life coaches players after this season now that these players know they wont see the field.
Cut em all

This staff has a much different height/weight/bodytype/ playing style critera than Butch's staff were recruiting. Butch Jones was trying to be Oregon of the SEC, with quicker, smaller, defensive guys. And smaller WR's and RB's on offense. We're trying to build an SEC team from the likes of GA and Bama. The guys that fit Butch's critera won't play on this team.

Which I think is why we as a fanbase were surprised by the lack of attrition to this point. These guys have to realize they aren't a fit going forward and will get minimal opportunities to prove otherwise. At best the majority are placeholders for the next two recruiting cycles.

Strength and conditioning the last couple of years has killed the program. It will take until next year for our program to be back to an SEC level.
