Just a hypothetical here because of an earlier post, but lets say in 4 years we are back competing on a top level with the big dogs. Lets say Fulmer retires at the end of Pruitts first contract. Who is to say that the powers that be wouldnt efuse to pony up and pay to keep Pruitt if he has us where we want to be. I think Pruitt can at least get us to being a consistent top 25 teams I just hope the power struggle doesnt rear its ugly head and bite us
The books will show that winning makes more money than losing. Money is priority number one for the powers

I actually thought he was just a fantastic program builder. Maybe that is more a perception than reality. However, one game doesn’t sum up the man’s career at FSU so we’ll see where it goes.
FSU isn’t in need of a rebuild. Taggart had one good year at USF and lands Oregon. Then a bad year at Oregon and landed FSU. I met the man. Wasn’t impressed but he keeps upgrading. He’ll usually smears cupcakes and loses to good teams.

Justin Martin
Cheyenne Labruzza
Marquill Osborne
Malik Gray
Nigel Warrior

All supposed to be high level players.

I’ll give him Gaulden, though I’m sure he succeeded in spite of coaching

Patrick Abernathy is the reason Gaulden and Barnett came here. Had nothing to do with butch. Barnett was leaning heavy to Missouri.

I haven't rewatched the game yet but I'm seeing a lot of Nigel takes. Did he look that bad? Surely he hasn't regressed under this new staff...

Mathews said before the start last season that those current freshman and sophomore classes were "some of the best he's seen up there". What the heck does he smoke? He's always pie in the sky with Tennessee and a lot of times he just totally swings and misses.
Yeah, I really don't trust anything he says at this point.

I for one have never been impressed with Warrior. His tackling is embarrassing. I am hoping another Safety will step up.

I think we are being really really hard on our secondary guys.

1st game.
3 freshman
New scheme
Little to no pass rush
Elite offensive opponent

R. E. L. A. X.

For the most part I agree. Where I take exception is playing Abernathy and Buchanan so many snaps. Special teams players and back-ups at best. Have been since they arrived, but the coaches must love their attitudes and practice habits. That won't win games. Youth movement and intensity from all that play - now's the time. Realize they are limited as to who to throw in there.

Could you tell the d-backs it is aight to lift their arms/hands to deflect passes when trailing receivers? It's even OK to turn and look for the ball - they are even allowed to jump high to catch or deflect it when they do. Thanks. lol.

Maybe. We’ll see. I agree, improvements will be made, I’m just not expecting it from everyone
