It’s not the venting that I was necessarily responding to. It’s that on top of calling players “quitters” and rehashing it again by challenging whether our players have guts.

We get 12 games a year, and I try to enjoy them instead of sulk. Yes, yesterday sucked, but this team can get better and can still beat half the teams on its schedule.
I have typed several different things in response..and didn't push post reply..

I love the Vols just as much as you do. How about you ignore me and leave me alone. I don't have any agenda to bring people down. I have been honest about things, and I have said nothing about the team that has not been said by many others that love the Vols.

Please just ignore me. It will make you feel better not to see my post, and will make me feel better not to have garbage thrown at me.

I’ll hold off a little with the bashing of pass rush. The interior Dline was clearly improved, it was also the first game and they’ll have two practice games before SEC play begins. Pruitt will figure out how to get pass rush, he’s made his money off of blitzes. Not to mention WVU gave up the 2nd least amount of sacks in the B12 last season, returned 4 out of 5 starters and they’re a massive group, their average size is like 6’5 320.

This. We heard all about how good their line was before the game but no one wanted to believe it. Apparently no one wants to believe it still. Our DL looked pedestrian but they will likely look better in most of our other games not against Alabama.

The quality of everything WV is yet to be determined, just as the quality of everything Vols. I don't think we're as bad as we looked but I also don't think they are as good as they showed. It will all reveal itself in the coming weeks. Unfortunately all we have is hope because we've seen little to offer much hope. Hope is running a little thin around here.

Bama, WVU and Uga are the 3 best lines we’ll face. Mizzou is right behind(if not just as good) them too. Luckily we won’t be going up against elite passing offenses every week with the WR’s getting open after half a second

One thing I was impressed with (other than having only 10 guys on the field yikes) was the overall discipline, lack of flags, and time management Pruitt had for his first game. He did everything correct as far as I could tell.

I also didn't see any horrible play calls except that third down we ran the ball and got stuffed. Don't think we have any reason to be concerned about coaching yet. Just really lack talented players and experience in the new system.

My sober rewatch led me to feel better. Wasn't as bad as it appeared. There were a handful of plays that changed game and guys in the wrong spot/miscommunication on assignments. A lot more fixable than I thought while watching live. It was a more mature cohesive team vs a team with brand new staff and young inexperienced players not used to playing together. Some throws by Grier were ridiculous and not even a way to defend them and doubt many QBs on our schedule can make those throws.

If we can settle on our lineups and rotations and let them mature together we should be better by end of season if healthy.

Abernathy still has to go even after sober review. Theo Jackson deserves more snaps with the way he played in limited snaps

So was Abernathy playing safety or was Flowers?

I want Shamburger playing
