@Freak or anyone else..is there anyway to post a screen recorded video from iPhone?

Trying to do some play breakdowns and it says “the uploaded file does not have an alllwed extension”

Just watched Pruitt's post-game presser. Man, I love Pruitt. I understand that people are hurt in many different ways, I do. But, go watch that presser with a clear mind. If you did last night while mad then go watch it again. He is a real footbaw coach. He took blame upon himself as well and not just the team. He said exactly what is going to happen these next couple of games. Get these kids experience and get them into believing in themselves while teaching them up. At one point he said he knows more now how to help teach these kids what they need. Man, so refreshing to hear from a coach compared to last time.

I'm very opposite from what some thinking about these next 2 games. Yeah, they are cupcakes, but we will be 2-1 and these games bring game time experience for these kids to learn and grow. They will make a mistake, the coaches will correct/teach, and the player learns. I would much rather that go on against two cupcakes than against a challenging team. They will get better that I am sure of.

It’s all good man. Just shows you genuinely care about your team. You’re hurting like a lot of us. We all vent in different ways.

It’s not the venting that I was necessarily responding to. It’s that on top of calling players “quitters” and rehashing it again by challenging whether our players have guts.

We get 12 games a year, and I try to enjoy them instead of sulk. Yes, yesterday sucked, but this team can get better and can still beat half the teams on its schedule.

I’d really rather just schedule 4 Non P5 Teams every year for OOC games.

We already play Florida, Georgia, Alabama, and the crossover every year.

Cheers. Been saying this for years. The goal is to WIN GAMES. Going to a crappy bowl game because you lost to Oklahoma by 3 is worse than going to a better bowl game because you beat Eastern Michigan by 50 instead.

Our conference schedule is heinously difficult. No need to make it worse.

I’m still excited
We played tough until the long break
I think it would’ve been a little different if not for the delay
Not a win but closer
Let’s get ready for florida
Didn’t they drop like 2 TDs in the first half? From my point of view we had one great drive, but were super lucky from some early season drops from the WVU WRs

I think Schiano would have tried to beat the Butch culture out them. Pruitt is doing it with love . Tough love and that is why they didn't quit last night. GBO! They're gonna go all Enter Sandman on Florida !

Alright, well I updated the game thread with a look back at the original keys to victory and how we measured up, so you can see that if you'd like, but here are some other points on the game.

1. Speed: WV was shockingly faster than us. From their DL to the WR's... they were a step ahead all night. Flowers was caught flat footed a couple of times, and the defensive backs were no where close to being good enough, even if they were facing studs.

2. Grier: Easy to be upset with what he did against us, but remember, he's on the Heisman shortlist, as the commentators let us know 12,304 times. We couldn't generate pressure, which i thought would be our biggest issue, and he showed that laser accuracy often (missing a few), but oh... some of those passes were tight. It is the worst a QB will make us look all season.

3. 3-3-5: Their defense gave our OL fits, and I frankly expected better. I'm not sure if they changed their defense a lot from what they have shown before, but the OL were confused often.

4. Tim Jordan: Boys... we've got a running back. Chandler probably has a concussion from that knee to the head, but Jordan's performance made him the head of the committee. I look for big things from him this year.

5. JG: Looked really sharp.

6. Offensive playcalling: I'm not sure we've seen what Helton wants to do yet. I've heard the 3-3-5 defense requires a lot of different scheming, similar to facing a cut blocking option team. The OL shortcomings forced Helton into a short range passing game, which was really effective when our WR's began to get separation. We couldn't get enough time to throw it deep that often, but I did not see much that I didn't like. More TE involvement would have been nice, but they were needed to for blocking.
As far as the offense and the 3-3-5 go, USC and Helton had a hell of a time against WSU and their version of the 3-3-5 last year.

Seems like our OL just couldn’t win enough. Stunts and twists really gave us trouble and put us behind the chains at times. Kennedy looked like a career backup in the 1st quarter.

I like your attitude man, but it’s time to take off the orange blinders lol

Helton went away from the short passing game success on several occasions. He needs to do better there and stop the silly bubble screens and telegraphing gap scheme runs. The bubble should be called once a game to get it out of their system at most. Just think Callaway and get him at least 10 touches a game. Balanced offense and we can win some games if we have decent D. Big "if". The O-line showed promise once they adjusted the blocking scheme to get Kennedy to the second level and let the G's handle Bigelow. Like what I see coming together there.

Jordan stepped up big. In doing so he missed a lot of cutbacks that would have given them much more yardage and lacks break away speed. He will see it in the film room. Chandler is needed here as he is the breakaway threat. Though briefly on the field, Banks looks to be the man down the road.

I can't bear another year of the D performing like yesterday. If that's all we have I'll just hit the golf course on Saturdays. WV held on and grabbed liked at a cowboy rodeo, but there was no scheme/play calling to combat it and no talent to break through it. The D-back play other than Taylor was just awful. However, if their O-line is allowed to maul and grab like that all season Grier will win the Heisman. He's that good and has really good WR's to go with it.

They've got two games to get better before the one that matters. If they never get any pass rush this season is going to be bad because they have very little in the secondary at this point. They will have to get 2-3 young guys to step up in a big way and not be married to older guys that failed so much in the past.
