This thread is so feast or famine. It didn't used to be like this.

Too much hype before the game. Too much resignation after.

What happened to all the even-keeled opinions?

It’s easy to rationalize a 6-6 season before it starts. It’s hard to watch it actually unfold.

Before the game if you thought it was a 6-win team, you got drowned out. XV-nulla and all that.

Now, if you think there's still a chance for improvement, you're told to just give up.

That's a some hyperbole on my part, but it's definitely the vibe.

Can't wait until Wednesday, and we're back at XIV-uno or whatever. I guess i'd take that over this funeral.

Based on what? We have competed with them the last 3 years. They are not that good. Be terrified of Bama and Auburn, but not UF

Chip wasn’t a true candidate because he was the #1 coach available and turned us down before we ever fired Butch.

Pruitt couldn’t get the Mississippi State job and was resigned to being a defensive coordinator for another year before our cluster**** presented an opportunity for him.

I think both guys are going to have success at their new jobs - but UCLA fans should rightfully feel much more secure about it.

How do you KNOW Pruitt “couldn’t get the Mississippi State job”. That’s right...you don’t. I don’t claim to KNOW otherwise and spare others common sense by not declaring it to make some point.

And in addition to that, I think as the game goes along it is much harder to keep the new technique you’ve been taught. If it’s not natural it goes away as you start to get gassed.

Yeah, they were losing their composure. That's why I think we'll know more about where we're at after UF. Two more games will build confidence and allow the young guys to get more comfortable out there. They can work on technique and angles and keep building muscle memory. Some things we saw yesterday are correctable; others, we'll have to recruit our way out of--unfortunately.

Kelly sucks as a recruiter and his offense has been figured out. He’s paid for homeruns but bloops singles.

Did they really ever throw at Taylor? Seem like you only saw him having to chase the crap the other side let by them. Usually a good sign they he was handling his guy.

Buchanon and Abernathy are just flat out bad. And they had busted plays. flowers and Thompson had some mistakes but you still saw their talent make a play. Buchanon and Abernathy didn't do anything to show me they should be on field. No reason Theo and Flowers shouldn't be the safety's next to warrior moving forward

Ah yes... first game hangover, where we can all go at each other’s throats again.

I was at 6-6 24 hours ago, I’m at 6-6 now.

Two weeks of fun before some uncertainty. I’m going to enjoy it. It may possibly be two months before we enjoy it again

I’m not “conceding” anything. But I’m also not going to pretend like I’m in this fight at all. It’s so funny that some of you think your individual support and steadfastness results in wins or losses on Saturday. You’re not making tackles or catching passes.

We’re all 3rd party observers making comments about what we see on the field, from the players and the coaches. I was at 6-6 before this game and will likely stay that way - although I think the road is much tougher today than I did yesterday.

He interviewed for the job and they chose Moorhead over him. It’s pretty simple.

JG looked good when he was protected. OL needs to play much better. How about Tim Jordan being a beast? So happy for that kid. If the OL can play better and we find a decent pass rush we’ll be fine this fall.

UCLA fans are totally behind Chip. UCLA is playing a lot of FR and Speight went out with a back injury early in the game. So they were playing a FR at QB and he couldn't hold serve. Both teams have a way to go and young talent that needs seasoning. I'm an alum of both schools, so I got served a double helping of suckage, and I'm sure there will be more to come.

Having your starting QB go out early is usually going to result in a loss. It sucks, but you can at least tell yourself it can get better if he comes back.
