If we go 6-6..and you are disgusted, disappointed, mad and whatever else it was you said you were going to be in that post...

Who exactly are you going to take that out on, or hold accountable as the scapegoat? Sounds like the beginning of a "Burn the Witch" episode to me.

I was just going off what you said. When I finally felt the way you just described about Phil, Dooley and Butch...I wanted them fired...immediately.

If Pruitt doesnt have the thing obviously pointed in the right direction record wise by next season then I will be mad, disappointed and thoroughly disgusted.

There are weak excuses, and there are valid reasons..Right now there are a lot of valid reasons..whether you or Pruitt acknowledge them or not..that this season could go badly sideways.

Wow.

I'm not going to take anything out on anybody. I'm not going to look for a scapegoat. "Burn the Witch"? WTH, man. It's football. If I'm disappointed (OR mad OR whatever) about how the season goes, I'll look forward to basketball. You make it sound like a disappointing season would be something to avenge. I like UT sports as much as anybody-- but it's just sports.

According to the JG pumpers you look good while going winless. Also, you can become a leader a month after throwing a temper tantrum on the sidelines after mean Butch wouldn’t play me.
That wasn't the question. It was if jg plays well and leads us to a win over WV, will you be happy? I'm guessing based on yer original response that you would have a hard time rooting for jg even if he was playing well and leading us to a win. Follow up question, if this makes me a "jg pumper", what does that make you? I know the answers to those questions so you don't need to respond.

Apparently, it wasn't a very good one. It wasn't meant to offend.
It didn't offend me. I guess I'm just afraid the thing could spiral bad, and if so I think every voice of reason will be needed...so might as well get ahead of the curve.

Heck man, there have been more than a few idiots wanting to fire Pruiit since he was hired.

Speaking of the offensive line, we feel that Jamir Johnson will start at left guard between Trey Smith and Brandon Kennedy, with Ryan Johnson and Drew Richmond on the right side. The staff would like to play more and could go as many as eight deep. There’s no question however that guys like Jerome Carvin and K'rojhn Calbert are coming on. Riley Locklear has been solid and Chance Hall keeps progressing the right way. But we don't believe there's a set rotation for guys. That will likely be dictated by how the game is going. One of the biggest challenges for the offensive front Saturday won’t be being physical or finishing blocks, it's figuring out where everyone is coming from or isn't coming from in West Virginia's 3-3-5 defense and where the “back-up's” are mentally could be a factor in how deep they go rotation wise.

Tennessee's rotation at running back will be interesting to see with Tim Jordan, Ty Chandler and Madre London all expected to get carries. We don't know the exact wide receiver rotation, but it appears it will consist of Marquez Callaway, Brandon Johnson, Jauan Jennings, Josh Palmer, Jordan Murphy, Cedric Tillman, and Tyler Byrd. Byrd has quietly had a solid camp and has gained some confidence. Murphy has had a very good month and has been a really pleasant surprise.

Defensively, the question is what kind of rotation does Tennessee run on the defensive front. With temperatures expected to be around 90 degrees at kickoff and the heat index higher, playing more players is a must. The question is up front how many does Pruitt and Tracy Rocker trust? Will be interesting to watch for sure, but against WVU’s spread scheme, the Vols will likely be in sub-packages more, allowing Kongbo and Taylor to help up front.”

There will always be crazies. Pruitt's doing a great job and if we go 6-6 or worse, he'll be the first to say that's not good enough at Tennessee. No reason not to be optimistic, though, with the whole season in front of us.
