Here’s what I’ve been busy with last couple weeks getting ready for football season...

It was a lot of work finishing this room but I think I’m ready for FOOTBALL TIME IN TENNESSEE!!!!

The only thing you say here that I even disagree with a little is your strong belief that we "Have enough talent to turn it around..Right now"Of course, I don't hate u for your opinions. I was just saying your posts have been negative lately and that's why u have been catching hell. I understand where u are coming from, it has been a tough 10 years or so. I just plan on giving this team and coach a chance to play a couple of games, before I doubt them at all. Of course, I'm an eternal optimist when it comes to UT football, although it hasn't done me much good lately. I think we hired the right coach and have enough talent to turn it around, right now. No, I don't think we can win the SEC East, but I do think we can win 8 games and anything less than 6 wins will be disappointing, at least, to me. That may be crazy, but like I said, eternal optimist
According to the JG pumpers you look good while going winless. Also, you can become a leader a month after throwing a temper tantrum on the sidelines after mean Butch wouldn’t play me.
I don't think that's what he's saying at all. You can be disappointed or mad about a season and not blame the coaches or want them fired. I was pissed in 2005 but didn't want anyone fired.
That assumes that everyone needs an escape goat or someone to blame if they are mad or disappointed. Some people can be mad at a result but understand it and not feel the need to assign blame. If we go 6-6..and you are disgusted, disappointed, mad and whatever else it was you said you were going to be in that post...who exactly are you going to take that out on, or hold accountable as the scapegoat? Sounds like the beginning of a "Burn the Witch" episode to me.
I was just going off what you said, when I finally felt the way you just described about Phil, Dooley and Butch...I wanted them fired immediately .
I think we are loaded on offense. I love the WRs, RBs and OL. Although, I did like the OL last year, too. I just think the JUCO and grad transfer with Smith and the rest of our returnees on the OL, we will be better with a little depth. My main worry, which we agree on, is QB and we all know, QB makes or breaks the offense. I feel good about the defense, mainly because that's Pruitt's speciality. I do worry about DL depth and the freshmen CBs. But, not only is the defense, Pruitt's speciality, but especially teaching and coaching DBs, so we will see. I'm pretty sure, after the WV game, we will have a damn good idea what kind of team, UT has this yearThe only thing say here that I even disagree with a little is your strong belief that we "Have enough talent to turn it around..Right now"
I simply do not have that belief. I have some very warranted, and very well earned doubt about both the talent and heart of this roster.
I do have a lot more hope in the roster now, that I didn't have immediately after the season or during the spring.
I hope they prove my doubt wrong.
And I really hope Hank is dead wrong about JG...
Yeah, maybe, but I think checker Neyland was initiated by the fans. To me that was what was so impressive. With 2 weeks to pull it off the first time it turned out to be iconic well beyond my expectations.
That isn't the way it goes most of the time however..It almost always turns into a lynch mob where the angry, disgusted and disappointed mob is out for blood. That assumes that everyone needs an escape goat or someone to blame if they are mad or disappointed. Some people can be mad at a result but understand it and not feel the need to assign blame.
I hope it is a surprisingly good team, if it is Pruitt is better than just a "good" coach.I think we are loaded on offense. I love the WRs, RBs and OL. Although, I did like the OL last year, too. I just think the JUCO and grad transfer with Smith and the rest of our returnees on the OL, we will be better with a little depth.
