Keller Chryst won this job imo..I just feel like Chryst can give u much more production..Guys this is the SEC u just need a guy to manage the game and make smart reads and get the ball out..JG has a cannon for a arm but making good reads and getting the ball out is his only problem..Chryst 12-2 record is tough to ignore..No knock to JG..

The team has practiced like everyone is a starter. They have played many people at every position and more than one position. I think unless the guy who takes the first series excels on the field we'll see both QB's. I don't think Pruitt will have a lot of patience with anyone playing anywhere unless they are playing how he wants them to play. My hope is that everybody that starts plays so well he doesn't have to take anyone out until we've got a huge lead.

Agree. No reason to make it public, although you can bet the coaches and players know.

Chryst isn’t a bowler or a tennis player. He’s not 12-2....Stanford, an excellent football team that won games with a physical run game (with Heisman trophy level running backs) and a great defense won those games. He played his role, oftentimes poorly or with great mediocrity, in those wins.

Edit: and I strongly disagree that all you need is a game manager at QB because you’re playing in the SEC. The fact that you’re playing in the SEC is all the more reason that you need a dynamic QB to make plays to win games.

Who knows. I kinda think they'll go ahead and announce it Monday when they release the first depth chart. Would make sense if they wanted to keep WVU guessing, though.

I think our starter will be intact the day of the Florida game
I think we play two qb's during game # 1 & game # 2. Then during Florida, whomever takes the first snap will be our starter

I think both should check and consider the Vol history. We had a QB here for four years and he started two games.

He then went on to a fourteen year career in the NFL.

NOW the quiz: who was he and where did he play?

JG's completion % = 61.9%

KC's completion % = 54.2%

People have believe this myth that JG can't make smart throws, but his completion % was pretty damn good for a freshman playing behind an Oline with walk-ons "blocking" for him. I just don't understand for the life of me how our fans can judge JG off of last year. Then they think that a senior that got benched, and then outplayed by an underclassman is going to come in and be our savior. JG will win the job and look like a completely different player this year, watch and see!
