Their other games are Colorado, Oregon St and UTSA. They may go 1-11. If they can get past UTSA. Side note about UTSA, they should be well coached. Frank Wilson is the HC and Al Borges is the OC. That's quite a bit of SEC experience at the top of that staff. Probably not gonna be an easy win either.
They have enough talent on both sides of the ball to win 6. Manny Wilkins is a pretty good QB. After this season though it could go downhill really fast.

I think one of the reasons the coaches are feeling good about WVU is because they feel good about the development of our RBs and DBs. CJP has been working with the DBs himself and they've really come along. We have versatility and depth at those position groups and that's key to executing the game plan.
Well just looking at it logically, with Pruitt calling the defense we probably legitimately have the best defensive coordinator in the country. We’ll be solid on that side I have no doubt.

And WVU is soft as hell in their front 7 on defense. We should be able to push them around.

Vols +9.5 all day.

Jeremy Pruitt says newcomers give Tennessee Vols 'ball-hawking ability' in secondary

Nice free article from Callahan.

“We’ve got some guys back there that are competing, and it’s been good for us,” Pruitt said during the interview with Tennessee’s radio play-by-play announcer, Bob Kesling. "We’ve really improved because of the competition.

“We’ve added five new guys, and they all have really good ball skills. They were all kind of offensive players in high school, so they’ve added kind of a ball-hawking ability back there.”

I still go back to Dana saying he was dreading facing a Pruitt coached defense in the season opener. This was during the NC game with the coaches round table.

IDK about +9.5 but I think we run right through them, toss it around when we need to and pressure Grier enough to get him out of his rhythm. And when he's pressured into making risky throws, our DBs will make him pay. I think the players are looking forward to this game.

Can we stop the run? That's the key. WVU's great QB/WR play will only kill us if they can make headway in the running game. I trust our ability to move the ball against them. We should be able to score 28. If we can stop the run, we have a chance.

This. Just because there are questions doesn't mean the answers are gonna be bad.

Agree... folks don't realize just how much of the game is mental/attitude... Can you even imagine the toxic climate around the players the second half of last season? Totally going through the motions... This year is completely different with everyone buying in and the culture is nothing but positive... seriously, that is like 1-2 additional wins right there....

Guys, I am trying super-hard not to get taken in (yet again) by a coach who hasn't delivered. BUT even I have to admit that I'm starting to believe. I think my main conundrum for this season is that while I think/hope that Pruitt is the guy we need as HC. I know full well that the time frame is too short to expect much. I think we'll win a game or two that we probably shouldn't and lose a game or two that we probably shouldn't but I am so tired of coaching searches and 'fool's gold' that I genuinely wonder about where my head is at these days.

I think we have more than enough to compete with everyone on our schedule minus Bama and UGA and yet I still can't imagine us having much more than an ok season for a first time coach. I wish it was otherwise but I feel flat out beaten up and I don't like it one bit. I am praying that Coach Pruitt gives us at least one or two miracles this season
I don't remember hearing too much about our staff being confident going into that 2013 Oregon game, though. IIRC Butch spent a lot of time the week before talking about how much of a challenge playing an away game 3 time zones away would be.

We stop the run and PRESSURE Grier the entire game, we win. period.
