My post on VQ wasn't about AV btw, since Gucc won't clear that up.

I have no idea how I got the reputation that I'm down and out about stuff. Really weird. I'm not, I'm actually very excited for the season.

Finally, no, we didn't get into it. AV said that Wright stopped in town on his way to Tuscaloosa. I asked Austin Price at VQ about that. Price, a guy who can literally pick up the phone and call Wright himself, guaranteed that Wright wasn't in Knoxville. Simonton added on and said no, he was not in Knoxville. I posted that information. People still believed it. I laughed because I thought it was funny. We had pages of conversation, which, I admit I went too far, but people got very upset. I have nothing against AV, he is right more than he's wrong. This particular instance was simply funny to me, but clearly not to the rest of you.

Ah hell, Newt. Occasionally, Bass gets on my nerves, just like everybody on here, including u. But, deep down, he seems like a good dude, he sticks to his beliefs and opinions, sometimes to a fault. I can respect that, tho. I think if he smoked a big fatty ever once in a while, like I'm about to do (wanna join me, Newt? Of course, u do) it would mellow him out some

The funniest part of this is the suggestion that Price can guarantee anything related to a recruit. Price's info is only as good as the version of events that Wright gave him. If Wright didn't want it to be known that he was in town, he certainly isn't going to be forthcoming with a Tennessee reporter unless they had an agreement in place that the info he gave remain a secret. And Price, if he were smart, would honor that agreement if he wanted any shot at further interviews.

Having said that, AV is only as good as the info he gets unless he saw Wright in Knoxville with his own eyes.

That street runs both ways. I just think it's odd that you believe Price has the ultimate authority in a situation like this.
