With all these reports, scandals, player misconduct etc its beginning to really water down that theory that urban “wanted to get away from saban”. I think he just “let the sh!t creep in” and literally lost control of the program.

Combination of both, I think. Either that, or he got work the OSU job would be opening up and ran for that job.

Yeah I said it the other day, but I'm not counting on Kirkland at all. If he can help at all this year I'll consider it a success. The dude is injury prone.

Yeah I don't put a lot of stock into that poster but I still wouldn't be surprised if that does end up happing. He's injury prone.

Really random thought here but i was thinking of the best teams that had bad years here.

Two that stick out to me was the 05 team (fulmers first losing season). The team was great defensively but just couldn’t find it on offense.

And

Dooleys last year where basically every offensive player was on a NFL roster at some point and we score like 35+ in 4 road games and lose. We are also damn good special teams wise that year.

Who do you all think would win?

That last Dooley team should have had 9 wins minimum— minimum. And you can only imagine what that offense would have been like if Hunter’s knee had never exploded and Tiny’s Knees hadn’t started going. Tiny and Bray were both projected as top-10 picks at one time if I remember correctly.

That offense with a different head coach is a title contender.

No matter what, that is a top 3 all-time team to have not made a bowl game no matter the program.

Honestly wouldn’t surprise me. He hasn’t looked that into it from the videos and pictures I’ve seen from practice. Couple that with the transfer rumors and injuries I think he just calls it quits.

I agree, but that wasn't the question. Bray and co folded like a cheap suit everytime they faced a decent defense, conversely the 05 team wouldn't have had to attempt many passes to run up and down the field on Sunseris zombie squad.
