I’ve said multiple times i think Georgia takes a step back this year. They will still be good and win the east but will be 9-3 or 10-2 with some ugly wins in there too.

They lost that monster senior class. Everybody seems to be forgetting that.

Take a look at this, and keep scrolling down. Georgia’s at 80, and we’re at 87.

IKR. The talking heads are assuming they're just going to reload like Bama does every year. I may be wrong, but they lost 7 of their starters on defense and those were some monster dudes. I do think they'll reload on offense though. They have an amazing stable of RBs and QBs. Defense will not be as good though.

McCaffrey, a generational player, finished 2nd and 9th for a yearly award.

Every guy I've mentioned thus far had a better or comparable college career to McCaffrey.

Here's more

Fournette
Cook
Reggie Bush
Chubb
Henry
Richardson
At least now you are naming players that you can make an argument for. Hahahahahahaha. But no, none of those guys had a single season with over 2000 yards rushing, over 600 yards receiving, over 1000 yards in kickoff returns and over 100 yards on punt returns. That season he also had 8 rushing TDs, 5 receiving TDs, 2 return TDs, oh yeah and 2 passing TDs. I don't think any of the guys you have mentioned have put up over 3800 total yards and 17 TDs in one season. No most of those guys would need to have their best season compared to his 2nd best season where he only had over 1600 yards rushing, over 300 yards receiving, over 300 kickoff return yards, and just under 100 punt return yards. With 16 total TDs. Yeah all those guys were also in offenses that featured them very heavily, but none came close to his best season and most don't match his career production.

so looking at the teams in the SEC right now and how many spots are left, we're up to 19, and it's at least debatable how many spots we actually have left, but that's not really the point for htis....you look at Auburn, MSU, USCe and FL all have lower #'s committed. so i'm wondering...is that because they're struggling? or does that mean they have the most room to finish strong and make a big move up?

thoughts?

If it were us there would be threads started because we're struggling. Because its them, it's because they are leaving room to finish strong and pass us.

well, that's not how i feel about it. i was just asking a question. doesn't mean i'm not happy/excited/thilled with our class.

This was Ryan Callahan on the Erik Ainge show Tuesday.

Florida and Auburn will finish strong. Always do.

In a traditional sense I would think they had room to finish strong but with the early signing period I don't know how many will be left for them.

Wasn't talking about you. Just answering the question with somewhat likely possibilities from the board. Just making a joke. I'm happy with our class. I don't know anything about their classes or needs so I wouldn't be able to answer with anything but a guess. I would assume they're like us. Some would think room to make a big push, some would think it was a bad thing.

thanks. so he believes that somewhere around 75% will sign in december, which goes to Newts point about spots vs. bodies for February. should be an interesting fall for recruiting. and December to February should be pretty cut throat......lol.

also found it interesting that he said that there's at least a decent chance 2-3 of our current commits and us may part ways....which wouldn't surprise me. Flips will be huge going forward. hope we're on the plus side of that!!!

Worth mentioning again that we are losing some really good players on the DL, but should be returning nearly everyone else in 2019. With good QB play next year Pruitt could have a breakout season, especially with what looks to be a favorable schedule.

This is why I’m ok with the National media crapping on UT, and fluffing Florida.

What happens to recruiting if Tennessee steals a game or two everyone picked us to lose?

What happens to Florida if they don’t meet the lofty hype?

Which of these is more probable?

agree with all this, though as to what's more probable, i would just say look at the schedule. i think FL has a 7 or 8 win schedule as we sit here right now, even if they lose to us. UGA, MSU, FSU are probably tehir toughest games. LSU, USCe, TN are toss ups. they should probably win the other 6.
