For the record, I don't think you're lying, either. I just think you have believed from day one that KC is better and you look for evidence to support that. I would probably do the same thing if I watched practice and JG had a good day.

In all honesty I’m a little disappointed in KC. Maybe because i did have high hopes for him. I obviously knew he wasn’t great or else he would still be starting at Stanford. I thought he would be more physically gifted i mean he’ll look at the guy. He looks like gronk.

I just don't get why. I really do want the guy who plays the best, and offers the best ability and chance to win to start..I just really hope that it is JG for several good reasons. I already know what KC offers.
So are you thinking you know better than the coaches or what? Like they might not play the one who gives us the best chance to win or something lol. Get with it.

KC playing better than JG today isn’t even what i feel is the story. It’s how much work he got with the 1s as opposed to JG. The reasoning for that could be anything but that’s for everyone to decide Bc he’s obviously giving us nothing In pressers.
For the record I think you are right about what it means..I hate it though.

He evidently can't get out of his own head. Maybe that is what is fundamentally wrong with JG too.
Yeah, I saw some quotes alluding to Butler thinking too much and not just playing. I've seen at least one interview with Butler and he seems extremely intelligent, imo. I guess, sometimes in a game like football that can be negative. But like I said, just a soph, has plenty of time to turn it around. I would rather Butler be smart than dumber than a box of rocks, tho. I think we he gets where he can just react and play with his intelligence, he will be a damn good player. Hopefully

Btw, last year, Butler and Jordan Murphy were my 2 favorite freshman that I thought would contribute. Of course, besides Trey and Chandler. I still feel that way. It may take Butler a little longer. Now, Murphy ? I've been really encouraged by what I have seen and heard from fall camp. I wouldn't be surprised if Murphy catches 20+ passes this year and scores 3 or so TDs, including the return game

Thanks @Dooby15 ! I’m not sure exactly how that works. It would allow me to watch the games on demand, 100% of the time?
I’ll record the games so they’ll be stored on the account. With YouTube tv it’s unlimited dvr storage. Or we can both watch live at the same time. I don’t know why it wouldn’t work.

You are free to have your opinion. In my opinion, CJP spent a scholarship on Chryst and inherited JG. Chryst is his guy.
Doesn’t seem like you know how it works. Pruitt didn’t “spend” crap...the UNIVERSITY did. He’ll play the best player. That’s what real coaches do.

He went 11-2 as a starter with a pretty good TD to turnover ratio. That's what the coaches are looking at here. JG is probably more likely to make the big play, but he's also more likely to turn the football over. With this team, we need a guy who can assure we'll be kicking the ball at the end of every possession.

He only completed 54 percent of his passes at Stanford. UT won't win a single game in the SEC with a QB that's not a lot more accurate than that. NOT even Vanderbilt!

Glad you know what i really hope. Care to tell me my future while you’re at it?
It’s fuzzy...like a Dr. J Afro. I see you begging a man whilst pulling at his pants. He hands you three one dollar bills. Then there’s a police badge and many lights! That’s all the spirits will reveal tonight.

Interesting

Are the games available immediately after they conclude? It sounds like this would be a perfect solution.

If you could email me at my “VN username,” @yahoo.com that would be great 🤗

That tweet of his seems to suggest otherwise, but I really have not heard him complaining before now, so I will take your word for it.
On the podcast he outline some his views in a more nuanced way. He’s even said he might do the same in Priitt’s position.

His stance is basically that it kind of sucks for media members right now, but in the end the important thing is for Pruitt to win, not to give pressers that please the media. Not an unreasonable take.

But yeah, Ruckers still a doucher. One of those guys who can write an article full of nothing but things I agree with and I’ll still come away thinking he’s insufferable.

Ooh let me!

You’ll live a few more decades, make some friends and lose some. You’ll die and many people will be sad, a couple may be secretly relieved, but most people just won’t care. The people who’s lives you touched will remember you and look back on you until they go. Within about a generation and a half, you will b largely forgotten and all or most of your remains will be gone. The rest of the world and the universe will keep going on for millions or billions of years as if you’d never existed until the eventual heat death of everything.

So what do I win?

Yeah, I'm very disappointed, so far, with Butler. I thought he would be a star. Just a soph, tho, has plenty of time. On one of the practice reports last week, I heard a Bennett mention and it was good

Haven’t seen anything about Bennett thus far, but him coming along well Ian good news to be sure.

Sometimes with guys who think too much it just takes a couple years for everything to come together. Butler seems to have a good head on his shoulder, so hopefully he’ll just keep his head down and keep working. He’s still young and has time to find a role.

Murphy seems to be having a solid camp. I’d love to see him carve out a role. Has a different skill set than most of our other WRs right now.

I haven’t heard anywhere near enough yet to change the narrative for me that JG is our starting QB. I think KC was brought in because 1) we only had one capable QB (JG) on the roster and 2) to have bona fide competition at the position.

Ainge seemed to suggest on Friday that there might be some push back from the football office on his going on radio and TV stating that JG was the guy. He stressed Friday that anything he was saying about the QB competition was his opinion but it seemed clear that his opinion had not changed.

If JG struggles, or has to come out of the game, or is injured, we need to have a capable QB that we can roll out there. He needs to be ready and both we (staff & team) and he need confidence that he is more than capable of handling the job.

Hank is not the only one that might think KC may be the better overall QB for our offense. Silverberg said last week that while he thought that JG would likely start game one, he thought KC would win the job at some point. He and Ainge argued about that – pretty much like fans here argue about that.

Here’s my question: You only have 2 QBs to choose from this year, Chryst or McBride. Who you got for your starter? I mean I really don’t even think it is close. Hey, but what do I know? That’s just my opinion.

Regardless of the pecking order we desperately need both guys (JG & KC) to be ready to go on day one and they need to have the confidence in themselves that they can get the job done. While the general sense is that JG has the locker room it is critically important to our team that they (the players) believe KC is more than capable of leading the team to wins. He has to have an opportunity to earn that trust preferably long before he is thrown into action. Otherwise if JG struggles or is injured we might be at risk of the team folding in the face of adversity. Jmo.

I’m not really a religious person but some ancient wisdom I learned in my youth stuck with me and there have been recurring moments over the course of my life where I’ve pondered over it. “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” I think there is obviously a difference between hope and faith. Hope to me is like wishing. Faith is believing. There is a powerful difference. One by itself is akin to fantasizing; the other bred by the former is motivating and leads to action.

Our staff and, maybe even more importantly, our players need to have genuine faith in both of our quarterbacks. In the face of adversity hope alone is probably not enough.

Maybe thats one of the problems.

He hasn’t won a single tournament in 5 years. Hasn’t won a Major in 10 years.

His next win will be on the Sr. Tour
Ok. You clearly didn’t watch him in his prime and didn’t watch him shoot a 64 in the final round of the last major yesterday, when he hit 5 fairways and 12 greens. He figured it out yesterday mid-round, when he didn’t really have it. He couldn’t even hit an iron in the fairway. He wasn’t even hitting balls this time last year, nor did he know if he would ever play again, and now he’s contending in the last 2 majors. Like I said, if he stays healthy, he will win again, and sooner than later.

I used to like him when he wrote for the Chattanooga paper, but since he started with 247, he has been a huge douche. He is a lifetime Cubs fan, so he at least has that going for him.

My point is the guy has more natural ability. They evidently don't think they can get it out of him. That sucks. You and I both know what the other guy brings. He has no untapped potential. He has had YEARS to get better and hasn't. If he wasn't good enough for Stanford, then he isnt going to be anything special here either. At least JG had some potential to get excited about, but it looks like they have made up their mind to me that they van not get it out if him...that sucks for us. The offense is going to be painful to watch. That is how I feel about it.
And and this point it probably Shrout.

JG may be losing his role. It could be possible, whether people like it or not, that if you with a game manager it's Chryst, if you want a gunslinger it's Shrout.

Where does guarantano fit it, if this is the case? And yes he took way too many sacks last year, so many it skewed the stats people still seem to rave about. If you count stats the way NFL does (counting a sack as a passing attempt) which you really should his actual completion percentage is 52%. He took that many sacks.

I'm sure Pruitt sees this as the x-factor. I'd he's STILL holding the ball too long that essentially torpedoes his chances.
