Yeah it definitely makes sense that they'd give Chryst first team reps at some point to see what he can do.Just because hank declared it doesn't mean its true. That was his opinion based on KC getting more reps with the 1s than he has been. And he's the only one who's said KC leads. The closest anyone else has come to that is simonton saying they were more even today than every other practice where they said jg leads. I like hank and the info he brings, but I don't always agree with his analysis or opinions on things.
We are not winning 8-9 games with a one dimensional running offense that does not have the hammers on the OL to enforce its will on any defense with a pulse. I knew when we signed Pruitt that we would be old school, and I am fine with that, I am all for that, but you have to be balanced to win against decent-good teams. That QB is not going to scare anybody off the LOS. That is a fact to me until I see something different from him, than every game I've seen him play so far.I’m confident we’ll have a squad that can win 8-9 games next year. QB and DL will be a big concern for 2019 until I see something that’ll make me change my mind.
Maybe Hank feels like this too, but JG left a bad taste after the pouty tantrum over Dormady starting. Lots of negative energy from that team, and who knows how much his attitude contributed to that. IF he starts, i'm fine with it, but I don't blame Pruitt for testing the waters with the other guys.Sounds like jg last year.
I've got high hopes for Gooden next year. Seems like he's gonna be a factor in the rotation this year, too. The big questions, IMO, is gonna be how far they can bring along guys like Emerson, Mincey, Garland, Harris, etc. by year two of their careers. We have to develop our non-JUCO guys at some point if we want the rebuild to be sustainable.Absolutely. Need our JUCO guys Gooden and Savion Williams to be the truth.

Yeah that one screenshot caused a lot of people to hate on jg. There seems to be a lot of people who aren't necessarily rooting against jg but seem to get way more excited about anything negative about him and positive about kc.Maybe Hank feels like this too, but JG left a bad taste after the pouty tantrum over Dormady starting. Had a top notch offensive line and two elite running backs and couldn’t keep his job. You really want me to believe he’s in a better situation to succeed here? I’m not buying that for a minute. I say terrible because if he were mediocre he would probably still be at Stanford.
And we have a top 15 class with lots of spots so it isn’t that hard. I would rather us have a slow, steady rebuild than risk it all on year one.
So now we’re already one dimensional? We are not winning 8-9 games with a one dimensional running offense that does not have the hammers on the OL to enforce its will on any defense with a pulse. Hence my disappointment..I think he meant in 2019.
But yeah, unless our OL somehow turn into beasts that can impose their will on all or most of our opponents, being one dimensional on offense will hurt us this year. Gonna have to hope we can find a good formula or balance of defense or ball control. Gonna be a shame to see some of our receiving options be underutilized if we don't have a QB who can get the ball to them consistently.
