Quick synopsis of Big Orange Sunday (only caught the last 20 minutes)
- All the media/commentators only get to see the first segment of practice and their info is coming from equipment managers/ trainers since the all the coaching staff is very silent. Will be at practice on Wednesday and will have first hand info.
- Pointed out the advantage Vols will have over WVU as their defense cannot prepared for a strong running game as that is not what WVU does. Historically teams with a good running game typically have a strong run defense as they have to go against it in practice. (my editorial comment - conversely Vols will be at a disadvantage since the D will not have practiced too much against an uptempo offense)
- WVU will be a one game season with the staff focused on playing the best 20 players on both sides of the ball. After playing the next 2 cupcakes, the goal will be to have 25 players per side for gators.
- Outside of QB, thinks the Vols have the best player (OL - Trey Smith, LB - Kirkland and Bituli, DB - Warrior, DL - Tuttle & Phillips). Did not mention WR which I think WVU has an edge.
- Overall positive about recruiting as CJP is addressing needs except for LB. This defense is based on LB play and 5 of the current top 8 LB are either senior (1) or juniors (4 and some of these could leave after the season). Only have 1 committed so far (a juco) and thinks Vols need 3 more. Did not speculate about JJP.
- Said moves in spring are to find the best position for the player and moves in the fall are to build depth at a position (thought this was an interesting perspective)

Rivals transfer article about OL mentioned venzell running 2nd team at Miami. He might should have stuck around here.

It made me think of Preston Williams. I didn't realize that kid was arrested twice last year. Of course Bobo letting him back to play. Probably hoping he is a one and done to NFL so he can use him for recruiting and get rid of his headache

Is the Walter brady kid just waiting around to see if JJ doesn't make it in? Seems odd he hasn't enrolled somewhere yet. Bama had talked to him but then they got that 5 star from Washington

I know it was discussed in length weeks ago, but I just finished season 3 of LCU... I don't get a warm and fuzzy about Gooden making it past a single season here. And interesting comment made by the coach as they are taking the final picture saying he hopes Pruitt doesn't F Gooden...

If you got something like Sling with a package that carries ESPN and SECN, then you should be able to use that account login to get access to the WatchESPN app. They do usually put the game recordings up pretty fast.

You could also look into Playstation Vue. That's what I use for live sports. It has a cloud storage based DVR where you can record games and watch them right after they finish.

Thanks. Lot of good people on here. I understand the reason for your advice. We have fun and like to kick each other in the softies, but getting personal and vindictive in attacks doesn’t need mod interference...it gets done on here. Far as I personally lean my head over that line, I’ve always maintained NO FAMILIES...THEY’RE OFF LIMITS.

But you DID say something negative on here...MANY MANY somethings! And MANY people joined you! You get to do that and complain about coaching moves based on nothing but personal opinion and preconceived personal logic...and others get to REACT. If you can’t handle it don’t issue it.

Nick I’m having a similar issue, I have an Optimum cable account and they restrict my access to the SEC network shows on the Watch ESPN app. I plan on switching back to Verizon at some point so hopefully I can get you that login to use if so.

I question his motor on the field. The glaring thing from LCU for me was when he tried to fake a fever to get out of practicing. Doing that on camera was alarming to me

I think the academic staff will do fine with him in the classroom

I am sure he has matured in that sense. Look he has been on a roller coaster in recruiting. Had to go juco, got on TV, so everyone knows he had to go to juco because he was not good enough in the classroom. Don't you think he has wrapped his head about that and going to do whatever it takes not to get in that position again. I believe he got what it takes on the field. Especially now with the coaches and S & C. Already built like a beast. Just gonna get more beastly. I am excited to see what he brings, if you couldn't tell.😁
