Worley was better than Dobbs at that point in time though. Who knows Chryst may be better than JG at this point in time.Like when sims started over Bray or worley over Dobbs because they were safer options? Yeah cool. If we can't crown jg after a practice or 2 then how can you crown kc as the leader after 1 good practice when most reports, even some from you, were that jg was better in almost every other practice.
That seems to be the main reason he's not the #1 QB already. Chryst is much more of a game manager and that might lead to him winning the job if JG can't fix that quickly."Too many turnovers for Pruitt's liking. I think Guarantano held the ball too long some today."
JG holding the ball too long was an issue with him last year. Sacks will absolutely kill a drive on offense, gotta get that fixed.
I think you’re reading too much into it, honestly. Coaches know a lot more about what JG brings to the table right now because they saw him up close and personal all spring. This was likely KC’s shot at proving what he brings in a scrimmage setting with the 1s. Who gets more work with the 1s Here on out will be more telling than today.
They didn't see a single snap of the scrimmage. They were just talking about Pruitt's 12 minute press conf after the scrimmage where he gave very little info.I heard nothing from Lewis and Simonton in that video that gives a suggestion to the leader.
I’ll wait to see who is UNDER CENTER against WVU.
There’s no way you can watch KC play at Stanford and look at his stats and say he’s “terrible”. That’s just not logical. Underwhelming, mediocre fine but come on.
Idk why people are so caught up on the long term. If JG isn’t good enough for the coaches now that they choose to play a 1 year rental over him then it doesn’t matter. We need to win now worse than every. Do you know how hard it is to recruit and create mommentum off a 4-8 year
Another former player at a major college football program announced Sunday that he has joined first-year Tennessee coach Jeremy Pruitt's staff. Nate Andrews, a former Florida State safety, posted on his Twitter account that he has been hired as a graduate assistant for the Vols after starting 20 games for the Seminoles over the past five years.
"I'm excited to announce that I will be joining the University of Tennessee staff as a GA! Excited to take this next step in my career by learning from the best! #GBO #PoweredByTheT," Andrews tweeted on Sunday.
Andrews is the latest of several former college and NFL players with ties to Tennessee or Pruitt's staff who have been added to the Vols' support staff over the past several months.
At Florida State, Andrews played under Pruitt as a true freshman in 2013, when Pruitt served as the Seminoles' defensive coordinator. Charles Kelly, Tennessee's safeties coach and special teams coordinator, was Florida State's defensive coordinator for the past four years, while current Vols quality control assistants Tino Sunseri and Bert Biffani also were quality control assistants under former Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher.
