Single more important thing to accomplish in Sunday's scrimmage?

JESSE'S VIEW – Determining where Trey Smith slides into the offensive line. That’s critical, IMO.
Pruitt and OC Tyson Helton said Smith will be positioned — at tackle or guard — based on need.
With Smith being about a week away from being cleared for contact, several guys have a chance to audition for a starting spot during Sunday’s scrimmage.
I’m talkin’ Drew Richmond. Marcus Tatum. Jerome Carvin. Ryan Johnson.
Smith’s versatility gives Tennessee plenty of flexibility up front, but that needshould be determined sooner rather than later. The Vols offensive line has not had the best start to training camp. Smith’s return will undoubtably boost that unit, though.
So starting to find your best five and building a cohesive unit is the next step of fall camp.

ROB'S VIEW – You can’t do this in a single scrimmage, but I think the Vols need to start finding out who there going to be on offense in terms of an identity and for me that means a couple of things with this group.
First off, if, as many seem to think, Jarrett Guarantano is the guy at quarterback and he looks the part on Sunday, name him the starter. If not, then competition drags on, but if he continues to look better than Keller Chryst, get that out of the way. I get that there may be some benefit in keeping everyone on edge for the sake of competition and wringing out their best.
I think quarterbacks are different though, especially a relatively young one like Guarantano who hasn’t had a ton of success yet. He needs some confidence and having the staff get behind him early enough so that he could go through the majority of fall camp as ‘The Man’ is the kind of thing that could build some confidence.
Secondly, in terms of offensive identity, try to find something in the ground game and find out what you’re pecking order is at tailback. Sunday’s open practice was a small sample size with the offensive line at less than full strength, but it didn’t look like they were consistently creating much room in the ground game.
The offensive line still won’t be at full strength but they need to be more physical up there and continue to get looks at guys to figure out who is going to fit where when Smith returns to action.

BRENT'S VIEW – For me it's about finding playmakers in this offense. How is Tyson Helton going to use Ty Chandler? How big of a weapon can Tim Jordan be? More importantly, who can Helton count on out on the perimeter. The first week of fall camp hasn't been good enough for the Vol wideouts. There have been way too many drops. The receiver unit needs to turn up their game big time on Sunday. Who's going to win the 50/50 balls? Who's going to beat press man coverage? Who are the receivers that the quarterbacks can count on? Who are the guys that Helton can build his passing game around?

AUSTIN’S VIEW — I think it’s important for certain players to play well that are coming off injury or a rough season one year ago. Saturday is about building confidence in some. Look at players like Darrin Kirkland Jr., Jonathan Kongbo and Jarrett Guarantano for instance.
They all appear to be confident but internally I think a positive scrimmage will help all three feel like they have made a huge step in right direction.
Kirkland is battling the fact that he has struggled with health for over two seasons, Kongbo changed positions and Guarantano is playing the most important position on the field in another quarterback competition.

You guys see the OSU writer trying to take down Tom Herman

Yeah it's garbage. Dude is so caught up in protecting urban he is reporting careless garbage. True or not it shouldn't be said. True or not it doesn't matter. Dude is trying to paint Herman as the villain when it's should still be pointed at his own team. Herman should say something if he knows something but he wasn't even on the team in 2015
