I am no longer able to figure out how to ignore a thread on the new website. Any help would be appreciated.

It might be the "Unwatch" feature in the upper right of the first post on each page.

2017 DL class looking pretty rough a year later.

Crosby is an OG now.

Butler isn’t nearly as ready than we all thought. (I still kinda think they can make something out of him if he’s willing to stick things out and keep working for a year or two)

Thaxton is gone.

Hearing nothing about Bennett.

Deandre Johnson is looking like the best of the bunch at this point.
And that leaves a huge hole in the roster..

Freak, I was out of town last week and just now really using the new site. Did our lost likes get applied toward a trip or something? Kind of like my American Express points. I just didn't want to miss out.

Lol. They're in the database but the new software displays them differently. Freak knows what the issue is, he just has to fix it.

From the Erik Ainge show today:

While Corner is a concern, we have some guys like Bryce Thompson, Alontae Taylor, Shawn Shamburger, Baylen Buchanan, Marquill Osborne, and if there is anyone who can put together a working secondary in his first year, it’s Jeremy Pruitt. It’s his (corn)bread and butter.

WVU has consistently struggled with 3rd down conversions ever since Dana has been there. The reason according to Ainge is because they are in 3rd and long or 3rd and medium more than almost every other team in college football. They ranked #111 last year. They score points off of chunk plays and rarely have long time consuming drives. 59% of WVU’s 3rd down situations last year was 3rd and 7 or more. They feast or famine off of explosive plays. Ainge thinks we have to win on 1st down on defense because when WVU gets behind on down and distance Dana is not a get back on track kind of guy. Us winning on 1st down will get them out of their comfort zone.

They basically agree with a lot of people on here in that their game plan would be to get off the field on defense and eat a lot of clock on offense. Ainge thinks if we can score 34 we win. He’s saying we’re at least comparable to a Virginia Tech or TCU, both of which beat Grier & Co. last year. He thinks our game most likely will be like WVU against Virginia Tech last year.

Another point Ainge made is that WVU will have difficulty preparing for us and watching what Jeremy Pruitt called on defense the last couple of years at Alabama isn’t very smart. The reason being that play calling is going to be dictated more by the respective rosters than anything else. The most comparable situation to study for our Pruitt led defense would be his first year at Georgia. Even then WVU will still need to watch film on our guys to get an idea of what we can do. On the other hand we have the advantage because for the most part WVU has all the same coaches and players they had last year. Ainge said he thinks there is going to be game plan problems for WVU.

He said we need to be able to score or get a turnover in the first 2 or 3 drives when WVU is still trying to figure out what we are doing. The first quarter, he said, is going to be hugely important. That’s when we probably have our best advantage. Getting to the second quarter in decent shape game-wise will do a lot for the confidence and belief of our players regarding their ability to play with the team on the other sideline. Many of our guys know that in their careers they have already played against much better players than what WVU will put on the field. We will not be intimidated.

Another point Ainge made is that week 1 college football betting odds is a crapshoot. Ainge had a fight with his substitute partner because his partner said he would take WVU to cover at -9.5. Ainge is ready to fire the guy. They’ve finally agreed that on offense WVU is mostly one-dimensional and they are turrible on defense. The partner finally concedes our wide receivers are a huge mismatch for their secondary. The idiot also concedes that Tennessee has a much higher ceiling than the national media is giving us credit for.

A third guy shows up to do battle with Ainge. The nega-nancys are claiming we will not be all that up to speed with our new schemes by the time we hit Charlotte. Ainge isn’t really backing down. The losers are getting desperate. Caller comes on and slams the Debbie downers. Ainge points out the ages of the two idiots (25 & 26). Will West comes on and says we’ll be like Saban & Kirby in their first years. Ainge is in never give up, never surrender mode. Ainge is calling out West for not really knowing what he’s talking about.

Ainge signs off, “I’m taking bets!”

Of course the OSU fan who organized the Support Urbie rally and is plastering his love and devotion to CUM all over the Internet calls himself Tennessee Jeff. Couldn't he be Ohio Jeff or Bucknut Jeff or BuckU Jeff?
Maybe he's a secret Tennessee fan "encouraging" the worst of the buckeye fans actions.

I would totally agree about firing the dingus fill-in host. 9.5 points are a lot to cover in a neutral site game in Pruitt's first game as the Tennessee head coach. This is not the 4-8 2017 Tennessee team preparing for Vanderbilt in a lost season. There is always a ton of value to be found in the opening couple of weeks of the season. I'll take those points all day.

That's awesome.

I'd bet... but I agree with him. A WVU beat writer said they'd have to hang 30 on us to win. If they hang 30 on us, I think we'll run it right at them with our committee of RBs, wear out their thin D-line and beat 'em by a score.
