SEC Network headquarters are in Charlotte, eh? And not a single SEC team is situated in North Carolina!

Anybody else think this is a pretty bad look??

Never really thought about it, but Charlotte is a big city in the southeast and has suburbs in South Carolina. It's not centrally located, but you can fly to about 8 SEC cities in an hour.

Well ESPN is the parent company, so they checked their brains at the door I am sure.

I had never thought about it either. The transportation factor makes a lot of sense but Atlanta would probably be even better.

Just made me scratch my head a bit. And post about it, huh?

Michigan and Notre Dame is also on...game time is 7:30.

I won't watch it but it could be a good match up.
Yeah there's actually a few good games that weekend. But I was only listing SEC games on Saturday since we were talking about the SEC Now being there for our game. Sunday has LSU vs Miami too. And I think there's another game or 2 that weekend that's pretty good.

Just signed up for the athletic. Content looks amazing.
I've really enjoyed it. I have been going back and reading a lot of the past content as well on a bunch of teams and sports. Ubben's article about why he chose to go to the Athletic was pretty interesting too. They also do a good job of covering UCF, where I went to school, even though they don't have a dedicated writer. Which is a nice bonus. Hard to find good coverage of them in the past. There seems to be good braves articles too but I haven't dug into that as much. I also haven't tried the Q&A's yet but reading through them has been interesting.

i have an account as well. Great writing across the sports. The writers will also discuss articles and answer questions in the comment stream. This is just their 2nd year, so I expect them to continue expanding to cover more teams and cities. They capture what I want out of sports journalism. They have access; they interview; and they write stories. Low on videos and low on ******** debates/controversies.
