2018 Midterm Election Thread

didn't he have one of him blowing something up too?

I have never seen a more stereotypical set of commercials than the Georgia Republican primary candidates.

Kemp's adds were like an SNL parody. I have a hard time processing the fact that some people actually see those adds and think, "yep, that's the guy I want to vote for" (those people would thing in incorrect grammar)

I know it was discussed in another thread somewhere, but has anyone seen "Who is America" - the Sacha Baron show on Showtime.

The bit where he was in Arizona claiming that a large mosque was going to be built highlights how the stereotypes evolve perfectly.

They're like the GA voters who relate to the Kemp ads. Almost like aliens from some strange planet.

The bit he did on guns for kindergartners was also amazing.

Exactly. Kemp looks like someone who is making fun of politicians from Georgia.

I would say GA is less horrible than Alabama, Mississippi, SC, and Arkansas, and about even with KY, TN, and LA.

Just talking the south. You also have your Oklahoma and Nebraska types.

I put GA a slight notch below AL and MS.

I thought the ads were stupid, but in the context of a primary, I get it. The whole point in Georgia's primary system if you're not the frontrunner is to get noticed and finish 2nd and pray the winner can't get to 50%. The vote totals between Kemp and Cagle in the runoff vs where they were in the Primary is shocking.

Are you nuts? Where do you live?

On second thought I think I know where you're coming from:
AL and MS have done a better job of maintaining the "old redneck white man" control. You would view that as a positive.

I said that if you take Atlanta out, GA is just another MS.

The GOP candidate for Virginia's 5th District for Congress which includes Charlottesville was caught on camera campaigning with an avowed white supremacist and also accused of having an affinity for Bigfoot porn. (Airvol, help us out here.) And I'm not even shocked.

Bigfoot Porn Has Become A Major Controversy In A U.S. House Race. Seriously. | HuffPost

Maybe he likes big hairy things, idk. Most politicians from both parties have abnormal fetishes.

You may be into midget porn, but hey, that’s none of my business either.

Curious to see the Dum candidates platforms.

We are not them!

Vote for us and we will raise your taxes! (take from the rich, put most in our pockets, and give to the poor!)

Hey, we are the rich, WTF!

Bring back ICIS! Don't you miss them?

Trump, tear down that wall!

Controlled immigration is bad immigration. Who are they to decide who comes and goes?

Movie stars vote for us, F777K morality!

Free Healthcare!

Free college tuition!

Free money Monday's, go to the bank and get your share!

How about a free Pelosi-Phone??

One question... Will the Pelosi phone allow you to finish a sentence without help, not stutter or help you remember your point? If so I'm all in!!

The cost of Medicare for everyone 32 trillion. Can you imagine how much taxes will need to be increased? Wait, we will get it from the rich! This sounds like a great platform for 2020! We could open the borders and provide them with medicare as well for another 20 trillion. Trillion here a trillion there pretty soon it gets serious.

"including calling the president “f---stik” and “Putin’s b----,”

“Exactly, f--- ‘reaching out’ to Trump voters. The idiots aren't listening,” Brown wrote in one of the tweets from 2017. In other tweets he also called Trump a “f---ing moron” and “insane f---.”

"Mark Brown, a top communications official for the Tennessee Democratic Party currently working as the leading spokesperson to help Democrat Phil Bredesen win the Senate race against Republican Marsha Blackburn"

If anyone believed Bredsen was a moderate.....
