Nope, from what IÂ’ve read Murray was no longer with Georgia when Pruitt worked there. They likely met but they did not work together and Pruitt was not his coach.

When you have Pollack and Murray around SEC media days painting you in a negative light you have to say something. That's going to be used in recruiting. He handled it well.

Pruitt nailed it...... Neither played for him and I'll take the responses from players that played for him over these two mouth pieces...... Murray..... not even worth talking about, Pollack a SA that I wish would just go away but WOW that kid was a player.... Hate to say it. Hate his career ended the way it did. Hate to give a dawg credit but wow what a player. End rush this kid was unstoppable as well as from inside out.

These "pundits" get paid to talk...talk...talk...and they say stuff...and many times the observer can tell they simply are adlibbing and filling air time...really...that's what it amounts to...they are on the air to make money...I watch very little of this type of thing and having worked in media early on you see it for what it is...Its not just sports...its EVERYTHING.. and that's where we are as a society....AM obviously has hatred for the Vols..that much seems clear...and he has formed an opinion about CJP....right or wrong he will have to own that opinion and live with it...it actually doesn't bother me one bit...Maybe CJP can use it as motivation a little...but I doubt he'll spend to much time thinking about it...

I don't know if Aaron Murray's personality is fit to be a quarterback in the NFL. I don't. As an NFL quarterback, there's so many things that go into it. It's not just going out there and throwing it up for grabs. You have to deal with more complex blitzes. You've got to talk to the media about why you haven't even got into a game. There is a lot that goes into it.

I don't think he is the right kind of guy to be the CEO of an NFL offense. He's really good at holding a clipboard. He needs to actually be good enough to get onto the field and prove that he can handle an NFL offense. For right now, I don't think he can, and obviously his coaches agreed. We'll see what happens this year but it looks like he doesn't have enough talent to make an NFL practice squad.

If he was going to respond I'd have rather him said something like "this is background noise, these guys have to have something to write about, the only thing I'm worried about is West Virginia". His response just seemed like he let Murray sting him, which I hate.

We will see when he gets tired of fulmer’s “coaching input”, and storms to fulmer,s estate to confront him. That’s the kind of stuff that happens to us. Hope it doesn’t happen, but you never can tell. :whistling:

That would've been nice but this was a coordinated thing to make Pruitt look bad IMO. Both Murray and Pollack are alumni that didn't play for Pruitt at UGA. This has Kirby Smart written all over it. They knew who would be watching SECMD. Coaches,parents of recruits, and fans. It's a way to negatively recruit.

I find it interesting when people say Fulmer declined when, the 5 years prior to 2008 they had 10, 9, 5, 10 and 10 wins. Outside of the bad year with only 5 wins, that is an average of almost 10 wins a year. Most schools would be very happy with that. I think most would agree that Saban is better than Fulmer was, and is probably the best coach in college football, so I understand losing to him (them) (I understand, but am NOT happy about that, of course). Also, for some reason we have always had problems with Florida, even some years when we should have won. My point was that with that record, I think he deserved another year to "right" the ship. As I noted however, that is history, so we will never know. I think as AD he is a stabilizing force after all the problems we have had, and this should bring improvement in UT athletics.

Excellent point. Exactly correct. That plus the little known fact that Hamilton starting in 2004 did everything possible to scorch the Earth of UT football. Ainge admitted this on the radio even though some knew it. Hamilton wanted to get Phil out so he could get someone in that looked at him as boss and he talked Haslem into doing it by saying "he is about to break all of your coach's records (Neyland). So Hamilton did everything he could to hurt the program and while he was doing that Phil was winning 10 and 9 games.

Fulmer quote from the Tennessean a few days ago, "...itÂ’s 100 percent his program, I used to be the coach and IÂ’m not the coach anymore. But if he needs something from me, or if I see something, either way, itÂ’s there."

I think we are in pretty good hands with Fulmer as AD. He seems like a professional and will stay out of the head coach's way.

Maybe Pruitt didnÂ’t like the way how complacent Richt was and realized a how much of a great opportunity and roster he had and let it slip?? I mean look at what Kirby did, he elevated the situation he inherited. ThatÂ’s how I see about the situation. Aaron Murray just knows whatÂ’s Pruitt is capable of and is trying to paint a bad image of us.

From what IÂ’ve read...

Richt is a straight up Christian guy...in all senses of the word...

He didnt like PruittÂ’s cussing and fire...

Pruitt told Richt that nice guys donÂ’t compete for natties...

My take on all this is that Pruitt has a personality full of piss and vinegar. At other places like Alabama and FSU, he was kept in check by Saban and Fisher. At UGA, he perceived Mark Richt as weak, and acted accordingly. However, I don't buy the 'they hated each other' line. If that was so, why did Richt offer Pruitt the DC job in Miami?
