The Last Person to post wins XVIII

I keep it simple and like to drink alone when I'm by myself and will have one Scotch, one Bourbon and one Bbbbbbbbeer.

He said "I don't know man, ah she kinda funny, you know"
I said "I know, everybody funny, now you funny too"

My memory...4 years in March, I think.

My daughter spent 17 days in Japan as an exchange student a couple of years ago. She went through Tokyo then on to a smaller city, but I was concerned the whole time. Couldn't imagine having a child that far away for that amount of time.

Then outta nowhere you tell me to break
Outta the country and into more country
Past Dyesburg and Ripley
Where the ghost of childhood haunts me
Walk the roads my forefathers walked
Climb the trees my forefathers hung from
Ask those trees for all their wisdom
They tell me my ears are so young (Home)
Go back, from whence you came (Home)
My family tree, my family name (Home)
For some strange reason it had to be (Home)
He guided me to Tennessee (Home)

Not to leave anyone out

Mr. Jones and me stumbling through the Barrio
Yeah, we stare at the beautiful women
She's perfect for you
Man, there's got to be somebody for me
I wanna be Bob Dylan
Mr. Jones wishes he was someone just a little more funky
When everybody love you
Ah son, that's just about as funky as you can be

We meet every day at the same cafe
Six-thirty and no one knows she'll be there
Holding hands, making all kinds of plans
While the juke box plays our favorite songs
Me and Mrs. Jones

How often do you guys communicate, if you don't mind me asking?

He comes home at least once a year for 7 to 14 days. Email all the time and usually calls twice a month.

The job he has had since being in Okinawa, entails a boat load of traveling. Next year, when he moves to Alaska, his pro travel will be almost nil. Being in one place fo any length of time is gonna be quite a shock to his system. Lol

If she wants to teach abroad, there are plenty of opportunities, for sure. My son had an american girlfriend (civilian) that taught on one of the nearby islands.

My son kinda got drafted into this position. The military has a tendency to do that. At first he was a bit apprehensive about taking the job, but, it didn't take long for him to find his groove.

His primary career field is as a Maintenace Controller/Vehicle Fleet Manager. When he joined, he already had his Bachelor degree from UT. That definitely gave him a leg up as evidenced through his quick ascension through the ranks, so far.

His other leg up, dad (me:)), was in a semi-lateral career field and was able to advise him up to this point.
