I think Banks will be ready. Think he’s going to be very good. Really I like this whole group of RBs

If Pruitt had Bama’s talent on our defense I think we would end Grier’s Heisman shot in week 1. I just don’t think we have horses up front and in the secondary to consistently shut him down for 60 minutes.

We will see though. I expect a highly entertaining game and I am prepared for any outcome.

I really don’t think Grier is that good based on games I watched from last season. Obviously he can improve but he isn’t that consistent and their oline was not very good. He got out of a lot of sacks but I question if he will be able to do that against SEC caliber athletes the way he does against Big XII players

I almost went to the fla game last year. Had a free ticket and chose to not go. Thank goodness I didn't. I probably would have fought someone

Haha right. I have been to good games but I'm bad luck I think.

Edit: I went to Neyland in 2004 vs Notre dame. Then 2004 sec championship vs Auburn in the Georgia dome. Then I think it was 2007 outback bowl vs Penn state. And 2016 at Texas a&m.

From a pure running standpoint, guys usually have it or they don't.

What always worries me about young RBs (especially when they don't have any game experience yet) are things like pass blocking and ball security. I'm sure Banks will be able to give us something running the ball this year. I just wonder how much he'll get all the other stuff down. That will prbably determine how much he sees the field and whether he's someone they send out occasionally to give other RBs a breather or whether he's someone they feel comfortable leaving in for stretches of a game.

Yeah but his draft/NFL potential doesn't really have anything to do with whether he can make ours (and other) college defenses pay or not.

He's a great fit in their system, is pretty good at avoiding pressure or getting out of trouble with his feet, and can sling it to most places on the field. He went for 360+ yards, 3 TDs, and 1 INT against TCU and VT last year and both of those teams had solid defenses (likely better than what we'll field this year, at least). He's no slouch.

Haha. I've considered it. Probably won't make another one till a&m goes to Knoxville. Told my Aggie buddy that took me to that game we had to go to the one in Knoxville.
