That guy is so overrated.

Yeah he's overrated ain't he Ron. I'd love to be able to say my head football coach has won 10 or more games for 7 years in a row, 3 playoff appearances, a national championship, 4 conference championships, and 6 division championships. Give me a break dude. I wonder how many times a day you'd be sharing Dabo dancing towards a national championship sign if he was Tennessee's coach. I'd put the over under at 57.

He is joking

True. It’s strange because in his high school tape he ran past the top competition in NJ with ease. He can consistently pick up yards though. All you need is a guy that can get 5-10 yards here and there. A better offensive scheme will help him too. I think butch had a problem consistently creating space in his offense

I went and rewatched some of his HS vids again since it got brought up..the dude could move. I don't know what has happened, but he wasn't a slowpoke.

And for all of you all saying Chryst was a solid game manager before his injury, why did he leave? If he is finally recovered and ready to perform the way he did before, why did he not stick around and win the job at Stanford, who is much more likely to have a good team this year than we are.

Because the job wasn't open. Shaw told him Costello is the QB and there wouldn't be a competition for it. costello was a top 3 QB and so was david Mills. its not like Chryst lost his spot to some scrub

Obviously that staff does a great job with development so I'm sure they'll be fine. Just think it's interesting they aren't landing more top shelf ballers. I mean, 8 3stars in a row? Seems a bit odd, IMO.

So in a way you're throwing rocks at Clemson because they've had several 3 stars commit recently but it's not cool to be hesitant when a 3 star commits to Tennessee? What am I missing here?

He is fast straight line but isn't quick side to side. Can be worked on though

He sure shouldn't be the statue he appeared at times last season, but I was watching the Vandy game and there was nowhere to run at all, the pocket just completely collapsed over and over and over..I could not bear to rewatch anymore games..I think he just got shellshock from the constant barrage. He was standing in tough, but slowed by indecisevness throwing snd running. I think that indecisevness is a direct result of the OL collapse.

He hurt his ankle pretty bad on a td run against so miss. Played thru it for the rest of the first half that game and against LSU and vandy. Ran pretty well against Kentucky and before the injury against so miss. If chryst gets an injury excuse for last year then let's at least acknowledge jg had an injury he played through too. And showed improvement and toughness after the injury. Some improvement may have just been cause those 2 games were after butch got fired. Haha

Wonder what's up with Clemson's recruiting? They're 3rd overall on Rivals which looks nice on the surface but really they're only that high due to volume at the moment with 18 commitments. 20th in star rating and their last 8 commitments are all 3 stars. With their recent success I'd think Dabo would be landing bigger fish.

Could you imagine the anxiety on this board if our last 8 commitments were 3 stars? Haha

Seems like Clemson is often like this, then I guess money starts to flow and they finish huge

They’ve had kind of a funky flow of numbers recruiting wise for a while now. A few years back they only took like 14 kids one year and 17 the next, but those classes were mostly filled with 4* and 5* guys. Those classes finished outside the top 10, but if you looked at average rating of the class they were easily top 5.

I’m not sure about their numbers roster wise but this might just be a year where they need to fill up on guys and are taking more lower rated kids if they have upside they like.
