Oh I picked it up just fine. It's just that when you keep bringing up records that encompasses the whole gamut of what it takes to be a coach. I am not convinced that Dooley is better at X's and O's either, but I am not willing to debate it any more. I can agree that I think Pruitt will be better than both at recruiting and X's and O's.

I don't think that's a real number. It could be 10 1 5 1 if read separately. And, it's still the offseason. What would you like to talk about?

My opinion in Dooley vs Butch

Dooley was better at hiring assistants outside of Sal but he didn't have much choice there as he was a lame duck and his top guys wouldn't take it. Sucked as a recruiter and HC.

Butch was a better recruiter/HC but sucked at hiring assistants.

Both screwed up the strength program although initially Butch had a good one in Lawson until he sold him out.

Both preferred the easy recruiting wins vs the big boy challenge. Butch would at least stick his foot in the water but Dooley wouldn't.

People are rewriting history here. Butch Jones era was a million times better than Dooley. Derek Dooley was a full blown loser. The butch stench is still just to fresh and some have forgotten how lame the Dooley era was.

Let’s rehash the Civil War. That hasn’t been discussed enough.

And what I wanna know is who’s gonna be on the bench in 2019 that is SOoOooo much better than the starting QB. Because Vol Nation.

I would love to discuss the Civil War but we should probably take that one to the off topic.

We all know the backup QB is the fans' favorite. I hope JG is good enough to win the job because I think Chryst is serviceable, at best, and lame, at worst.

Dooley and Butch were both out of their league and their hiring is reflective of the sorry state of UTAD for the past decade. Dooley was a lightweight... but Butch made you want to wipe your hand on your pants after shaking hands.
