Anyone have any experience in Bush, Alaska? More specifically, near Bethel.
I got offered a job there that will be difficult to accept OR turn down. I love the outdoors, fishing, etc., but I'm not used to that level of cold. I do enjoy the idea of mental, physical, and spiritual rejuvenation, as well as putting a considerable chunk of change in the bank.
Of course I would still be able to get down for a VOLS game or two in Neyland next season.
Been there. Loved the fishing. Hated the weather, in August. Very rainy and constantly damp. Really damp. Like grew webbing between my toes damp. Roads are almost always muddy and slick with just enough potholes to break your teeth and an axle.
The fishing was great!
Unless the laws have recently changed, there is absolutely NO ALCOHOL for sale. No beer. No wine. No spirits. Nothing.
But the fishing is great!
