What do think will "change"?

I think half the team being “injured” will change. Players swinging sledgehammers at tractor tires during the spring proved that. Being injured won’t be a vacation anymore. If you have a lower body injury, you’ll be swinging a sledgehammer all practice.. if you have an upper body injury, you’ll be running bleachers or steps probably.

I hope more slant routes... And we have an army of tight ends. Hope we get them more involved

It will be nice not being able to predict what play the offense is running based on the formation. Everyone knew the play under Butch

No matter how you run an offense short yardage situations will occur. A FB that can kick out a DE would be nice with an improved o line. How many games were lost over ten years due to stalling inside the ten getting field goals?

...a Vol TE that would at least get in the way of a DE or chip him by making the slightest contact would be a refreshing change from what we have been seeing for years. Can you imagine a Vol FB leading AFTER a TE has actually sealed off and gotten in the way of the edge DL? I'm not talking about a TE pancaking somebody, I'm just talking about delaying the DL edge by two seconds as a punching bag would dxxn near be a miracle from what we have gotten used to seeing.

no hurry up offense

probably will be going for a ball control offense,
to help keep the defense off the field so much

I'm only basing this off the past history of our coaches.

On the offensive side, I think it's going to look more like WKU (2014-2015). This will be Helton's FIRST time in total control and it's the only thing I'm really nervous about.

During that time they called an average of 555 passing and 450 running plays. (based on attempts and carries), Do you think Helton will call more running plays?

For our Defensive side, I think it's going to look similar to Georgia (2014-2015). I think Pruitt will still be the main play caller for defense.

Or do you think our defense will be something different? Thoughts?

Hopefully, the Vols will learn to block and tackle.

Why would I be mad? I know what my nephew going to do on the field. He is proven. It could be Brandon, Callaway, Jennings, but one of them will have a 1000 yards. I would put my money on Brandon any day. lol

I still laugh about that one you posted of the mad little girl. I've wanted to use it several times since you posted it, but its too soon. :)

i posted the kangaroo gif that was so popular during the gruden debacle not too long ago. but it was the unedited one, and i almost got in trouble for it.

still funny as hell though. Playtime is over............:eek:lol:

talk about perfect.

No doubt, that is one of my all time favorites!

That one of the tank crossing the road from the Gruden thread is up there too, but its actually only funny because of the way it was used. Lol.

I'm really nervous about the new design on defense. Last time we tried a 3-4 didn't work out so well. But will see. Go Vols

Have you seen the defense the past two years? If so, you know it was historically bad. And you're worried about changing schemes?

The guys with the headsets on the sidelines will be different.

Not expecting much out of this defense. They will still get hurt in the run game until they get stronger and deeper on LOS.

Think the offense will be much more effcicient if the o line can prove to be functional.
