Let's do some more Rolling Hills "Maths." Loss of a key defensive player multiplied by complete lack of suitable replacement= greatest TN defense evah!!! Buy extra tickets. Is this "fake news?"

If he feels he's not a starter under Pruitt, then it makes the most sense for the young man.

Appreciate him choosing us to begin with and now he needs to look out for his own future. Nothing but well wishes for him going forward.

I saw him at dinner one time last year on crutches at Ruth's Chris and he was with what only I can describe as a handler. ( Granted not sure what a handler is :) It appeared it was his mom and this guy that would not be commonly found in East Tennessee - $2000 suit, too animated, Johnny Cochran type, made my skin crawl a little -- the same way attorneys make my skin crawl a little.

No offense.

In his defense - post injury, he may be not as quick as he once was and thinks a step down from going against Alabama and Georgia every week might be a good idea.

I wish him the best either way -- so sorry he was injured so often in his 3 years here.

Note - not a lot of $ 2000 suites in East Tennessee.

Good luck where ever he lands.

Watch for Florida and North Carolina here. They have already reached out.

Florida needs LB’s, but have some pretty good numbers there right now compared to last year. Wow, imagine Kirkland playing for UF. That’d lead to some lively discussion here; message board gold.

Question. Does this allow UT to increase the number of scholarships available in next year's recruiting class?

Well this will show if CJP is a hypocrite or not. Will he put any stipulations on Kirkland or will he let him transfer in conference?

Wish him well....I’m not sure how successful he’d be in the 3-4 defense. Some guys just are injury prone and Kirkland was the poster child for it. Really I’m a little surprised we haven’t seen more transfers so far.

Our luck, he would have a highlight game and be award sec defensive POY.

Pruitt has made his stance clear. He won’t limit Kirkland’s transfer options.

Good for him. I would bet Kirkland lands on a team of a different conference but if he wants to go to a UF to take a loss to us, fine by me.

Just reinforces the notion, these talking heads, don’t know ****e about this coaching staff and/or team. This actually could be a good indication of where we’re going, up.

The way I see news like this is:
All male Vol fans have learned to permanently wear a protective cup and lady Vols wear a sports bra to absorb these kind of blows.
Hardly bothers me anymore.
