Josh Dobbs (merged)

True. And most people agree with you on that. My point was the discussion shifted from whether Dobbs could even play in the league or be drafted to how good could he be.

Before the senior bowl most were talking about him having to change positions. There was mention of Terrell Pryor. After the senior bowl and pro day he was being compared to Dak Prescott and whether he could be a starter in the NFL.

It's that shift in talk I was talking about.

By one real person in the media, and here it was you. Nobody else was seriously doing that.

And that was a year ago; a year after an entire preseason and year of evaluating him, you're now literally THE only person saying this anymore, while the vast majority of everyone else says he'll be lucky to win the 3rd string job.

You can call us sheep all you want, and we'll continue to call your obsession for what it is: throwing crap against the wall and hoping it sticks.

I've actually laid out my arguments pretty clearly for why Dobbs will be great. And I've repeated them many times. And I've cited former NFL players who followed a similar path and developed into SUPERSTARS.

Don't try this. When Dobbs becomes exactly what I've said, you won't get it out of it by saying it was luck.

I've been very clear for a long time and I've given you clowns ample evidence of why and how Dobbs will be great. This won't be luck. This will be me being smarter than the rest of ya'll.

Not wasting anymore of my time on this nonsense

We have rather reached the point where most everything vettable is already stated and all positions pretty well set forth. Until at least camps start there's not going to be much new conversation.

1. He has the “look” of a superstar.
2. He passes the “eye test.”
3. His arm veins pop out.
4. ??????

Examples? You’ve presented Tom Brady, who doesn’t meet requirement 3, so I’m not sure how he qualifies as comparative.

I hope Dobbs ends up on another team for 2 reasons:

1. Dobbs may have a better chance

And most importantly

2. D4H will stop talking about my team

You still have to deal with this generations up and coming Darrelle Revis being on your team.

A) You've listed "reasons" but you've yet to give a GOOD reason. Saying he looks like a superstar and has big arms aren't good reasons, no matter how much you repeat them.

B) Yes you've listed names, and we make fun you of you because you list the same 2-3 name over and over, and ignore any evidence that goes against you (which BTW is a mountain compared to your evidence).

C) So by your own words, you'll officially be dumber than us if Dobbs doesn't turn out to be the superstar you claim he will be.

1. His college tape and production - I've posted many times the huge difference in Tennessee's winning percentage and offensive production when Dobbs played for Butch Jones versus when he wasn't there. With Dobbs in 2016, Tennessee was the #1 offense in the SEC in terms of offensive TDs and he set a school record for TDs in a season as well as leading Tennessee to a school reocrd for points in a season. Without Dobbs in 2017, Tennessee fell to last place in the SEC in scoring and was among the worst in the entire nation. The offense went for weeks without scoring a TD. In terms of wins, with Dobbs, Tennessee was competitive with every team they played outside of Alabama in his 3 years as a starter. Without Dobbs in 2017, Tennessee had the worst record in school history and was blown out multiple times.

2. Elite physical tools and intangibles - Dobbs has the size, arm talent, and athleticism to dominate in the NFL. He's taller, faster, and more athletic than Deshaun Watson who took the league by storm last year. The combine and their college tape proves that. In addition, he was able to become a great college QB while juggling an aerospace engineering major. You don't do that unless you have great work ethic and discipline. Something all the great QBs have.

3. He looks the part - And finally here is where we get to the stuff you posted. In addition to having outstanding tape, physical tools, and intangibles, Josh also checks the final box and has the LOOK of a superstar. He's got a Tom Brady-esque fire in his eyes that lets me know he is headed for GREATNESS.

So there you have it. A condensed version of the case I've consistently repeated.

Oh man somebody pinch me, we get this for free? :eek:lol:

No. The NFL GM’s will be dumber than HIM. But still smarter than US. :)

Can we make a signed bet, and when Dobbs is booted from the league after no success, freak bans D4H permanently?

What fun would there be after I win if everyone else on this site is banned?

I would rather have ya'll all still here so I can rub Dobbs success in your face everyday.

Dobbs is following the same journey as Tom Brady.

First, they were both underappreciated in college by their own coaches and fans. Next, they were understimated by the NFL scouts and GMs in the draft. Then by their coaches as a rookies. Both spend the year after their rookie season gaining muscle mass to be stronger.

The parallels are pretty remarkable.

Next, I expect Dobbs to light it up in the preseason. Win the #2 job behind Big Ben. And then when Big Ben goes down and Dobbs gets his shot in the regular season, he lights it up and leads the Steelers to the Super Bowl starting what will be a Hall of Fame career.

Just wait on it. Its going to happen.

LOL wow you really have to reach that much to find a way for Dobbs to actually start a game next

Looking good in preseason is very doable but that don’t mean ****

Ryan leaf balled out in preseason

The lions went 4-0 once then went 0-16 in the ones they actually count

What’s really funny is the fact you’re counting on Big Ben getting benched or injured

He’s played a long time now and can’t remember him missing too many games due to injury he’s a big durable dude

Now what’s really funny is Dobbs getting his chance to start and you thinking he’s gonna play better then Ben

Hahaha

The Steelers are all in on winning a super bowl at the moment and Ben, Antonio, Leveon are the guys they’re hoping can get them there

Plus Mason Rudolph was just drafted after they saw the eagles win a super bowl with a back up

Pretty obvious they ain’t too crazy about Dobbs or at least he damn sure ain’t a foles quality back

Also Dobbs ain’t lighting **** up in the playoffs

Now I kinda hope he does get to play the jags in the playoffs just so i can see him throw 4 picks fumble twice and get sacked 8 times

That boy would look horrible out there esp with the little rivalry between those 2 teams I’d honestly kind of feel sorry for him to get bodied in the playoffs with everyone watching like that

Freak doesn't allow ban bets. But at least D4H will have a fancy new avatar.

Assuming he doesn't welch, which of course he will.

Avi needs to incorporate Derrick Henry lording it over Dobbs in some fashion...to be truly punitive. Maybe shining his shoes?

Spray your Gator DNA on another board. Majority of us think D4H is a troll/clown or something akin but wishing humiliation on a great VFL ain’t part of the package.

I and a few others have repeatedly asked him how much he wants to wager on all this, and he's ducked it every time. Which tells me he really doesn't believe all this like he keeps proclaiming.

No. I believe it. However, this is just the internet so who cares about online wagers. That's why I don't respond to those silly posts.
