Sorry to butt in, but yea. Not talking about 114, but so many like to talk about UT not spending any money to hire big time coaches and aren't committed to winning, but can't wait to fire Holly.

To be clear, I'm not saying don't fire Holly, just saying you better be careful what you wish for.

I probably don't know nearly enough about it. There's probably a short list of "favorite people we'd like to get instead of Holly" over on the Lady Vols forum.

I just never go there, so I haven't seen it. And I don't pay too much attention to B-ball in the off-season (men or women's), so I wouldn't expect to.

Call me ignorant. But not so ignorant i don't see people shouting for Holly's head here, on the football forums, at least once or twice a week.

Phillip doesn't have to worry about the men's bball program because it's on autopilot with likely the best pure coach we've ever had here. The women's program was like that with Pat, but now she's gone and Holly is about as bad a game day coach as Butch. There's no question she should be relieved of her duties. I am looking forward to seeing if Phillip can do it. It could be the one factor that determines whether or not he's really up to being an AD of a power 5 like UT

Debatable articles. Remember?
Sanford Stadium is the on-campus playing venue for football at the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia, United States. The 92,746-seat stadium is the tenth-largest stadium in the NCAA.
We will shock 92,746 people. I hope you approve this debatable comment, because I approve this message.:) You see, it all started with the hiring of Fulmer.
Fulmer hires Pruitt.
Pruitt hires a great staff.
Pruitt changes the players that is already here.
Pruitt brings in a recruiting class that can help back up these players.
Then these players go out and beats Georgia, because Smart can’t beat Pruitt.:dance2:

Pruitt will out-trick dum ol Kirby with his mine....

Agreed.

But as for firing Holly, remember. Before you change horses at the gallop, you really need to be absolutely sure the other horse is there. And better than the horse you're leaving. Otherwise, why take all the risk and cost of switching?

Who are we replacing Holly with? Geno Auriemma seems unlikely to leave UConn. I can't think of anyone other than him who could beat UConn (and everyone else). Which pretty much oughtta be our goal if we're gonna go through a switch. Right?

Put another way: I'm not sold on Holly, but I've yet to see a better choice that's realistic.
You compare Holly to Geno?
:eek:lol:

You clearly misunderstood. Might want to read again.

"Who are we replacing Holly with? Geno Auriemma seems unlikely to leave UConn. I can't think of anyone other than him who could beat UConn (and everyone else). Which pretty much oughtta be our goal if we're gonna go through a switch."

You imply UT should hire him, though he wouldn't accept. How else to interpret? Several better options than Holly, THAT'S for certain.

That doesn't imply that I'm comparing Holly and Geno to one another.

I think you're getting there....

Hard to bad mouth the one bad season Saban had at Bama when they beat our asses. But, but, but......we were SEC east champions!!!!

Never difficult when armed with an agenda. :hi:

Phil will be wanting a big raise at the end of season to get up in the top 10--the man wants to get paid!

If we are going to pay big bucks to an AD, there are many, many, many worse men to pay than Phil. We know this, because we have...
