Plenty on Rivals and VolNation. That 4-8 season was explained away quickly by the blind optimists. Just read this thread and you’ll see more saying the same on Pruitt. Likely the same culprits.

Frankly, I think that there are better uses for infant foreskins, like the treatments being developed for diabetic foot ulcers. I wonder if infant foreskins could provide an effective treatment for victims of flesh-eating bacteria...

I hope you're right, I believe you are. Heck, even tim Tebow said Tennessee is a sleeping giant. In the here and now, I was wondering about the perception of the university. We seem to have a few people here who confuse "wondering" with making a "proclamation,." But then again, it's VN so...

Then your a nega-vol. However you are correct it's not 1998 anymore, but it certainly can be again with the right circumstances and timing.

There's no reason why they Vols can't average 9 or 10 wins a season again. We just have to get the right people in place to make it happen.

Of course, but the whole question is do you get fired for that, and when. I have no idea what these coaches really think about their world. (If I made 5 million a year I wouldn't plan on working for long). I do see that Mike Leach was willing to come to UT. As far as I know he was the only current head coach in the whole country who said yes.

C'mon, man, you can't possibly believe that Gene Chizik's head coaching career bears any resemblance to Phillip Fulmer's.

Sure, they both won national championships. So did Larry Coker and Nick Saban...pretty sure you don't believe those two are comparable, either.

I could write a book, but one stat will suffice: 152-52 vice 38-38.

No comparison.

My point was was that Fulmer was fired. Does that help answer the original question? It seems to me it does.
