Anti-Trump Hysteria and Silliness

this is where he just needs to stfu. 99% of the negative press is him running his mouth. if he stfu they would have nothing to talk about.

I agree. One of three things must be true.

1. He is to dumb to understand this.

2. He understands this perfectly well and thinks he gets some benefit from his war with the media.

3. He understands perfectly well but can't control himself.

I think any of the three makes him unpresidential.

While I do think it’s silly trump tweets stuff like that, he’s right. No president has ever been attacked like he has. Probably because he’s toppling the regimes such as the FBI and other corrupt government fronts.

For being unpresidential, he seems to be kicking ass as of late.

I take it you view getting out of the Iran nuclear deal as kicking ass? I don't. Nor do most of our traditional allies.

Whatever good comes out of Trump's time as president, I'll gladly accept. I'm all for looking for silver linings. Some good things always result from horrible things.

I don't care about appearing "Presidential". I don't even know how that's defined? I care about results.

Presidential: (as it pertains to the character of the individual being described) adjective. Upholding the dignity of one's office through an adherence to professional etiquette.

oh I think its #2. I think he is getting points vs the media in that "war" but the collateral he completely ignores as presidents do.

He is getting points on who's scorecard? Certainly not mine. (we all know the answer) Again - unpresidential.

The collateral damage is massive and will take years to rebuild. I choose to assume Trump doesn't comprehend the collateral damage being done; because if he does, his ultimate motives are as bad as some suspect.

If it helps, just think "the opposite of Trump." That pretty much covers it.

No person who is egocentric is capable of being presidential (some of you don't know what this means in this context but I defined it in an above post). Trump is the perfect portrait of egocentric behavior. He cares more about getting credit and praise for an achievement than the results of the achievement itself. Mark my word, he will parade these 3 released prisoners from North Korea in front of cameras at the White House and if they don't remember to thank him directly for securing their release? He will blast them on Twitter for being ungrateful.

And he will probably double down on how Obama failed to get the three released. (even though 2 of them were never prisoners during Obama's time in office)

Why not? When the media points out the lunacy, he will just scream negative/fake news and the trumpers will give him a pass.

Care to list this "damage"?

*too

If you are going to call someone too dumb you should formulate the sentence correctly.

All true... when Otto Warmbier was brought back a vegetable it was because Obama didn't get him released earlier. When the 3 UCLA basketball players were arrested for shoplifting in China and then released, he took to Twitter to publicly ask them for a "Thank you". It wasn't their freedom he cared about, it was their public praise.

Good one Luth.

Thanks, but no joke intended.

I truly believe that it is the foundation of most of our issues today and how the country has become so divided. It has gotten progressively worse from the early 80's (fairness doctrine....talk radio), through the 90's (Fox), and up to today with the misuse of social media....which all paved the way for Trump. He knew it was his ticket in the political door and the only way he could remain "viable".

Perfect example of the thread title.
