How about you stop talking about HoF and I'll stop talking about carries? Probably not though. Comparing it to shots in a basketball game is just more proof that you have no clue what you're talking about.
Fact is, no HoF RB has gotten there averaging 7.5 carries per game. He's a talented player but if he starts getting a full work load, the body takes a toll and the production naturally drops on a per carry basis. The amount of carries a back gets is important and if you don't understand why, you might as well go back to trying to judge players by how manly they look.
I already had this song and dance with KBVol. If Alvin replicates his stats from his rookie year for another 9 years, he'll be a 1st ballot Hall of Famer as he'll be top 10 all-time in yards from scrimmage and top 5 all-time in TDs.
Alvin doesn't need a lot of carries to have SUPERSTAR production. That is what makes him so amazing. He had more yards from scrimmage than Mark Ingram on far fewer carries. That sort of efficiency is a plus not a negative.
What you are essentially doing is trying to disparage a basketball player who scores more points than his teammate on far fewer shots. What sense does that make? Alvin's incredible efficiency is a plus not a negative.
Alvin doesn't have to change anything to be a future Hall of Famer. He can keep doing what he last year for another 9 years and be a no-brainer first ballot Hall of Famer.
