Recruiting Discussion

My impression was that he was a silent because he was part of the 18 class but wants to play AAU ball and wouldn’t be able to if he was an 18. If he committed and acted like he was a 19 commit then we have to go around telling recruits he’s actually in the 18 class.

No matter what if he is still visiting he’s not committed in reality no matter what he has said. That’s just my opinion.

Appears to me that either the staff feels like we lead by a lot for Burns or as are content with a hit or miss and saving the spot.

Well they don’t really have a choice but to be content with it. Only choice they’ve got.

Lol

Or they planned to take some swings at some heavy hitters this cycle knowing holding the scholly for 19 might be more beneficial than taking a player they weren't all in on.

I mean that is exactly the strategy I posted about back just after Christmas

I can think of a better strategy.

Many of us were pushing for taking Harris but I think most of us turned on him quickly. We just don't know all the ins and outs to get bend out of shape over this

Harris wasn’t the only kid available.

There’s always an out though when you question their methods. “Well they were swinging for the fences.” “Well they were ok with missing on him.” “Well they didn’t push hard for him.” “They canceled the visit.” “Well he encourages them to be sure it’s the place for them.” “Hard to recruit to a team this good.” “Hard to recruit to a team that’s been bad for so long.”

Love that you’re on here gloating about an offer for a kid we aren’t gonna get.

Not gloating at all, I just remember someone trying to use that because Mann had a Kansas offered and Lewis didn’t that it meant Mann was higher on our board. Like I said before Lewis is considered one of the biggest stock risers this spring and will be a fringe 5 star when it’s all said and done.

Again a misinterpretation of reality. The comment about having a Kansas offer was in response to you saying “Lewis has Kentucky following him around. Mann doesn’t.”

I can bump the posts if you’d like.

If you feel you need to, the overall point remains or you wouldn’t have felt the need to comment on that part. You were clearly trying to dispute my take on Lewis by saying he didn’t have a KU offer but Mann did, that’s no longer is the case.
