Dobbs still needs to apparently "make the team"
Josh Dobbs could make the Pittsburgh Steelers practice squad
Lotta teams thought Kurt Warner sucked as well. Same with Tom Brady. It took injuries for both to see the field. Even Brett Favre was traded by the team that drafted him after his rookie year. All went on to Hall of Fame careers.
Josh Dobbs will only make the Steelers front office look stupid for not believing in him like Brett Favre did with the Falcons, Kurt Warner did with the Packers, and Tom Brady did with the Patriots.
Gheezus, Warner was stigmatized by the Arena League and nobody thought Brady sucked, he didn't have the measurables in this ever evolving NFL QB evaluation process. Then drafted to back up an established star, and BTW.....in year 2 he didn't give up the job when Bledsoe came back. Dobbs is destined to spend his career on the Practice Squad, if he's that lucky. He is not now nor will he ever be an NFL quarterback.
Funny, last year D4H said the Steelers were the "perfect spot" for Dobbs (of course he said that about 5 other teams before the Steelers finally got him), he was praising them as the best organization in the NFL, that Dobbs would lead them to multiple Super Bowls and be a Steelers legend, and was posting how Dobbs was being praised by the coaching staff.
Now it's becoming clear that Dobbs isn't in their long term starter plans and may not even be in their short term plans, their moves and statements are pretty good proof that Dobbs didn't show them enough his rookie year, and now D4H is ripping the organization and is saying they don't know what they're doing (the organziation that has won the most Super Bowls in the NFL).
Funny.
best thing for Dobbs is to get cut and sign with the Dolphins
Steelers are still the perfect spot. And he's still going to win the backup job this year over Landry Jones and that scrub Mason Rudolph. Big Ben will get injured. And then Dobbs will take over the starting job and keep it.
Just remember I told you this now so that when it's true in 9 months you'll realise I was right all along.
Dobbs will be holding up the Lombardi trophy in 9 months as well as being named Super Bowl MVP.
I don't know why y'all think the selection of Rudolph means Dobbs is gonna be cut? That selection makes Landry Jones the most likely to be cut. Steelers selection of Mason Rudolph should worry Landry Jones much more than Big Ben | Steelers Wire
This article lays out a pretty strong case that the guy who is most likely to be cut will be Landry Jones. He has 1 year left on his contract. He makes more money than Dobbs and thus offers more cap savings than releasing Dobbs would.
Josh will win the backup job at training camp. Big Ben will get hurt. And once that happens Dobbs will do a Tom Brady and win the Super Bowl as a first year starter forcing Big Ben to getting traded next year.

Landry Jones played better than Dobbs during preseason. And he actually played during regular season and isnt so that bad.I don't know why y'all think the selection of Rudolph means Dobbs is gonna be cut? Mason Rudolph as the next Tom Brady? Makes sense. Someday D4H will be using him as an example when hes projecting greatness on some other poor sap doomed to suck.
Dolphins have garbage at QB though - Dobbs could go right in and not wait for an injury that might not happen
I don't get why you guys continue to doubt my eye test? I've been proven right time and time again. Now in the NBA. D4H's 2017 NBA Draft Preview
Just as with Alvin Kamara, around this time last year I was the only person anywhere that had Jayson Tatum as the #1 player in the 2017 NBA Draft. Everyone else loved Markelle Fultz while I said he was overrated.
Now one year in, Jayson Tatum looks like the SUPERSTAR I said he would be as he leads the Celtics to the Eastern Conference Finals while Markelle Fultz can't get off the bench for a Sixers team desperate for a wing player that can create his own shot.
Just wait on it. Dobbs will also prove me right. My eye test is the best in the world. Its only a matter a time before Josh Dobbs is everything I said he would be. Just as Alvin Kamara and Jayson Tatum are everything I said they would be.
While Landry is a limited talent, he's started 5 games and played in another 13 games over the past 3 seasons. Dobbs has the same regular season experience as Rudolph, absolutely none. I can't see any NFL team going into the regular season with one QB who has ever taken a regular season snap
Because you're wrong way more than you're right; not really hard to figure out dude.
I care more about Dobbs long term success than the short term. Going to the Dolphins won't help him reach all-time greatness which I believe he's capable of. Dobbs is better of with the Steelers organization long term. That is how he will win 3-6 Super Bowls.
No. I'm right about player evaluations. Predicting games is impossible or who will win the championship. But projecting talent from college to the pros is my speciality. And I'm always right about.
Jayson Tatum and Alvin Kamara are clear proof of that.
And Josh Dobbs will be the clearest proof in due time.
