Mass shooting of the week, high school in parkland, FL.

Dad needs to teach him to reach into his pocket and pull out the card with his defense attorneys phone number and keep his mouth shut. No need to explain yourself to some idiot school resource officer.

CWV would have grounded his ass silly for touching an AR.

Her.

But no, CWV is one of the good guys when it comes to this. If he decided his daughter was of the age to learn about firearms safety and learning to shoot and he took her to a range. Later, let's say she bragged about it to a friend talking about "her cool day shooting with Dad" or posted it on MyFaceTweet or whatever kids are using these days. And that friend in turn reported her to the school faculty and/or SRO for no other reason that exercising her Constitutionally protected Second Amendment Right. And they brought her in for questioning, you'd better believe he'd be in that main office wanting to chat with the faculty and SROs.

And I'd dare them to pull In Loco Parentis on him. He'd have a field day with that one.

No, our lawyers on here aren't chiming in because they know I'm right. The school and the SROs were way, way, way out of line.

Our so called lawyers are obsessed with Trump. They don't have time for such silliness as this. They are probably doing research right now as to how Melania planned the State Dinner, so they can b!tch about it.

I have developed a newfound respect for lawyers during my time on the PF. Now florists, event security, air traffic controllers, preachers,.....I'm having to rethink.

I don't mind the questions, but if they handled it like the kid say they did then they effed up.

The DNC has lots of power in that area. Debbie Wasserman Schulz lives there and that Sheriff is a huge supporter of the Socialists (let’s call them what they really are).

That kid will be pressured into silence.

I do mind the questions.

Since when is going to a gun safety course and shooting with one's parents illegal or cause for suspicion?

depends on what was reported to the officers. enough kids freak out and ask for someone to be looked into, after what has happened there, they should. doesn't mean they need to treat him as they did. Could have a been a friendly chat imo. kid should have had some type of representation with 3 cops tho.

idk, my high school did stuff like this. called my parents in when I had some cuts on my arm, cleared a briar patch, talked with the counselor after they heard I had a fight with my sister. stuff like that, it was all like 5 minute conversations and nothing accusatory. which is why I have the issue with the tone.

A student should not post anything on social media showing him armed and shooting a gun unless he WANTS to be called in and questioned. Plus, he was told repeatedly that he had done nothing wrong.

I think all students are aware that in today's climate, posting gun activity on social media is a guaranteed ticket to visit the resource officer.

That is ridiculous. I guess add 1A to the list of amendments you want to “fix”.

🙄 jees... 1a is ok with you as long as it supports your stance. Got it.

Overreact much? No one said they can't post it on social media, only that there was a consequence.

There are plenty of things you are free to say (or post on social media) but many of those things have consequences. Freak occasionally bans people from this site, is that a violation of 1a?

Yep, you are a kneeler. It's not the schools business what happens off school grounds and after school hours.
