Banks will make some noise.

I'm not really expecting him to make too much of an impact this year (at least not early on). Maybe as a short yardage back. We've got 2-3 solid guys on campus already and London will come in with a lot of experience. Being able to block and contribute in the passing game is going to be important for RBs this year and freshman often have some trouble with that.

Next year he'll have a chance to be the guy who splits most snaps with Chandler, though. Those two should compliment each other really well.

Trey Wallace just tweeted... After having a conversation with Pruitt that Pruitt said JJ had surpassed expectations on what he has to do to play in the fall. He was told this by Greg Mcelory which is who Pruitt had the conversation with

DOes he not think we watched the spring game telecast? Literally just repeating what greg said on tv lol

Hyams just needs to retire...

I don't get why he is keeps talking about lack of media access. Butch never let them watch full practice either. He acts like this is some new thing.

Still butthurt from the whole Brohm incident and probably because he can't get in with Pruitt.

lol. it's stupid right? to get that emotional about a football team...check that....a 4 minute long video that showed 20 year old football plays....ridiculous.

but, and this is why SEC football is different than everything else on the planet, the reason it happens is because we, in the SEC, identify our football programs with our families.

saturdays spent with aunts, uncles, moms, dads, grandparents, siblings and cousins. it's not the football you remember, though we've certainly been lucky enough to have plenty worth remembering, it's the stories you get to share about the games, tailgates, dinners, cooks outs, who had too much fun that one time, or when someone took something a little too seriously the other.... it was the only 10, 11, or 12 days a year you heard your mom cuss like a sailor (or maybe that was just me). you heard your grandmother say, with pride, and a smile "go to hell Alabama".

long story short, if you're like me, when i was growing up, TN football on a saturday was an event, whether you were at the game or not. whether it was on TV or not for those of you old enough to remember huddling around a stereo listening to John Ward. and now you're all grown up and you're taking your kids to a freaking practice!!!! ridiculous, right....lol. yep. you're passing the crazy down to your kids. and 20 years from now, they'll be doing the same thing we are right now.

that's why taking those strolls down memory lane do that.

or we're just those crazy TN fans that everyone seems to know what we're all about.

My eyes are leaking. This is it exactly. Thank you jakez, for speaking my heart.

I can see him getting the same number of carries chandler got last year.

Rotten fruit is the first step towards fermentation.

Newt gets it not.

I thought Buchanan and Osborne did pretty good. Warrior, sapp and Phillips were everywhere. They stood out. Barely noticed the olbs. Tuttle seemed to be holding back maybe scared of injury. Ignont never looked like he was trying. Didn't seem into it imo. Hopefully bituli can be that vocal leader we need on defense and get these guys on track.

Taylor did not have to defend against any of the first team receivers, but I liked his aggressiveness and intensity.

Hubbs on the money per usual.

I think he's also trying to get more subs. But, I don't blame him. That's his livelihood. I think people getting rubbed the wrong way about Pruitt's comments are being a little sensitive. But, I am a straight up homer. So, I will pretty much support my coach until he shows he ain't going to win.

One concern I have is Pruitt riding these guys so hard that eventually a lot of these guys just kind of start tuning him out. Doesn't appear as if we have a lockeroom full of dogs/competitors. We'll see.

Honestly, if we don't have that many, it's best that they leave now. It will suck at first, but establishing the right culture here is critically important.
