Rucker has a douchey personality, but is basically a fair reporter who gives decent insight.

Hyams and Pennington are old cranky douchebags who’ve been doing bad work for a while now. From Hyams dropping the story about Hurd’s mom, to the calhoun’s fiasco, to Brohm, now making such a big deal out of fan numbers (that are always inflated) at the game (AND trying to make it about media access).

I've actually liked Rucker since the Coaching search--he definitely was with us. (unlike Hyams) He also had good coverage on Barnes and the BasketVols.

I’ve never really liked him as a person, but I’ve always thought he does a good job journalistically.

A lot of people started being unhappy with him because he called Butch out on a lot of things (even early on when everybody was behind Butch 100%).

Hindsight has kind of proven him right on a lot of that, though.

Just rough math.

The stadium seat 100,000.
Lower bowl seats more than upper bowl, so we can say 60,000 lower and 40,000 upper.

Lower bowl was packed for 60,000.
Upper bowl was not packed but was well populated. 1/8 full would put the total at 65,000. That is not far fetched at all IMO. Why is our media such douche canoes?

Plus normal attendance numbers include everyone in the stadium including event staff, players, coaches, concessions, etc.

Speaking of Hyams:

Him and Pennington brought up the inflated numbers at least a half dozen times.

Jimmy decided the attendance was low BECAUSE of Pruitt limiting media access.

Oh, Jimmy.
F him and that hack Pennington. They are about as unprofessional as anyone else. They are butthurt and they need to stfu.

where’s dat nick harvey update yo?

in his next school, nick harvey is looking for an opportunity to play right away. He’s looking to develop his game, too, to reach the next level. Tennessee checked off both of those boxes during harvey’s official visit to see the vols this weekend. “it was more than what i expected,” harvey said on his way out of town on sunday, “and i loved everything about it. Just had a great time here at tennessee.”

if playing time didn’t exist right away, at a position of need, the vols told harvey they wouldn’t be chasing him. “coach (kevin) sherrer, coach (jeremy) pruitt, they all showed a great amount of love to me,” harvey said. “they told me they wouldn’t be trying to get me if they didn’t want me to come here and play right away.”

in three seasons at texas a&m, harvey totaled 107 tackles in 34 games, had 14 passes defended, an interception and a fumble recovery. The richmond, texas, native was the no. 60 overall player in the 2014 class according to the industry-generated 247sports composite, as a four-star prospect ranked no. 7 among cornerbacks and no. 8 overall in the state of texas. Harvey is still considering south carolina, arizona, auburn, oklahoma state and florida, along with the vols, he said. He has one official visit remaining, which he could use during the coming weekend. "i’m deciding between oklahoma state and florida," harvey said of the lone official visit left to use.

The 5-foot-10, 185-pound harvey said pruitt’s successful past as a defensive backs coach and defensive coordinator, as well as that of safeties coach charles kelly, is something he’s taking into consideration with the vols. “it’s a big factor,” said harvey, who was hosted during the weekend by tennessee defensive back todd kelly. “the guys they put out are good guys and they’re doing well in the league, too. I could see myself playing for both of those guys.” harvey is set to announce his commitment on may 11, the day he graduates at texas a&m. “it’s going to be a special day,” harvey said. “everything is perfect.”

Hope Harvey can make a difference right away. I'm still not a fan of getting grad transfer at a position like DB for 1 year and lose a scholarship spot next year. When you can recruit a great player and have him for 3 or 4 years.

Trey Wallace just tweeted... After having a conversation with Pruitt that Pruitt said JJ had surpassed expectations on what he has to do to play in the fall. He was told this by Greg Mcelory which is who Pruitt had the conversation with

Not many great players lining up to commit without W's from new staffs. Harvey could help you get a W or two you might not otherwise. Ya dig?

Now, I agree with you after this year. But year one, with a new staff, I say get whoever you can to help you win as many games as possible THIS fall.

Only way to get Hyams to shut his mouth is to call his show and call him out and let the advertisers know how you feel about his constant bad mouthing
