I had a colleague of mine who went to Missouri tell me that Tennessee had the worst fans.

I told him to f@#$ off and worry about his own imploding university that just hired Derek Dooley.

How did I miss that Mizzou hired Dooley? They were my second least hated team in the East, now I have to recalibrate. Still, the chance to beat Dooley on the field is a gift that no TN player or fan should take for granted.

It’s like when a crazy street person bursts into a classroom and sprouts the wildest ass paranoid theory before hurling himself out the window. And the class tries to explain the theory with the ambulance siren in the background. :loco:

Dennis Dodd on the explanation of what a UT fan is.

Kinda random but I was perusing profootballtalk and there was a blog about KMack. Man that Pantone 151 really grabs your attention. Nothing else like it. I love our colors.

I’m not sure he’d be THAT sought after.

Plenty of schools would like to have him and all...but most sought after in CFB history? Doubt it. He won’t have the luxury of being surrounded by draft picks all over the field and a defense that can win most games on its own at most other schools.

There’s a reason he got benched for a freshman...it’s that he’s not a great passer.

Recent history for most sought after “transfer”: Cam Newton. Hurts is good, but he’s nowhere close to Cam. I’d even put him below Bo Wallace for a more recent example.

Threats by parents are ALWAYS A GREAT IDEA

He would dominate in most other conferences though. Kelly Bryant can’t pass either and Clemson was fine. Hell Hurts still took Bama to the natty. Twice.

He’s not an NFL QB but as a college player he’s very good

I agree with this. look at peterman couldn't pass a lick in this league because he was too slow in his progressions but goes to ACC and goes off because that split second too long in sec was no longer the problem. Now he sucks in NFL again.

Hurts would tear up any other league in the right system. He probably will improve as a passer with the right coach as well see Donna transformation as an example. Hurts has the work ethic and mentality to improve himself. He won't stay the same.

Saw someone mention ga TECH in another post but I don't think he fits that offense. Not sure he is an option QB it's good to have a RB type that can throw. Jalen dangerous when pocket breaks down

Didn't think he threatened anyone. Just keeping it real. Saban already knows this anyway. He knew he couldn't keep both
if it's common knowledge (and i agree that it probably is), so, just ask, how, exactly, did his dad help his situation?

don't see any issue with the article. Don't think it helps or hurts to be honest. It just lets other schools know his son will be be available if he doesn't win the job and isn't going to just stay as a backup or switch positions. It possibly puts some pressure on Bama to give the kid a real upfront answer and not drag it out like we know Saban will do. Not that Saban gives two craps if media keeps asking him and asking him.
