Ok I don't plan to get into a discussion about this and know this won't go over well but felt it's worth sharing

I have been told by someone involved with the everyday activities within the walls of the program that Pruitt is doing great in between the lines BUT he is really struggling with the other stuff. I was told he has missed meetings and has forgotten about a number of appointments. He's working his staff extremely hard and has left them hanging at times.

This doesn't bother me or surprise me but I do hope it doesn't result in his staff becoming frustrated.

Would he not have an assistant to keep track of meetings and appointments?

Sounds like normal 1st year head coaching growing pains

The first offshore book to release season win totals has Tennessee has 5.5. Tied for second worst with Arkansas with only Vandy being lower

If Pruitt needs more admin help, Fulmer will make sure he gets it. Making the jump from coordinator to HC means keeping more balls in the air. As far as missed appointments, all he needs to say is "Hey Siri."

I'm treating the Pruitt evaluation as a blank slate until the season starts, and we can see the team. I don't want to get caught up in high expectations from spring and early recruiting wins just to have that shot to ****e once we see that on-the-field play isnt improving. Overall, VN is already pulling the rollercoaster car up the first rise. I don't want to be one of those guys with a coach's name as a reference in a username that ends up cursing the guy 6 months later because he's floundering. I agree that Pruitt's SEC/ACC pedigree bolsters some of my early confidence in him, but he's never run the entire show. That has to be intimidating, and he's going to make some mistakes on his path to being a good head coach.

Honestly, I appreciate his refreshing lack of public-relations manufactured coachspeak more than anything else at the moment. If he can push this team to an above .500 record next season, then we'll have reason to celebrate.

You mean, for example putting the coaches name then “na” behind it? Asking for a friend.

Without knowing context of the meetings/appointments it's hard to know how bad that is. I don't envy a 1st yr HC in a rebuild like this. Hard enough managing my own time let alone what they have to do. So many things to do and not enough time in the day. I venture to think if it's got to do with bettering his football team in field then he is there.

Former Hoover AD joins Jeremy Pruitt at Tennessee | AL.com

Upshot of story: First-year Tennessee coach Jeremy Pruit t continues to draw on his Alabama roots as he builds his staff in Knoxviille.

Myra Miles, a longtime Alabama high school coach and former athletic director at Hoover , is joining Pruitt as his executive assistant.

I figure..
Pruitt just hired an executive assistant and maybe she was added after there were struggles?

SIAP - for those critiquing the UF spring game, here's another viewpoint.

Silly Gators spring game gives few clues about team in 2018

Sounds more like a backyard game where you change the rules to fit whatever situation you have in front of you.

"No. I said that stick over there is the boundary, not this one. That means touchdown!"

Five minutes later...

"I never said that stick over there was the boundary. This stick is the boundary. Sorry dude but that was incomplete because you were out of bounds."

I really hope Florida experiences the full blast of the circus right to the face like we did!
