What did you have for dinner II?

Fresh lamb kidneys, hearts & shanks were all under a dollar per pound... Then, "celebrity chefs" discovered them. :glare:

Mac and Cheese... this recipe was referenced somewhere around these parts (not sure what forum).

Made a batch....went over very well, gone in a flash. Will make another batch today, try it! Perhaps a reference to the web site will be added.

16oz Rigationi pasta
8 oz sharp cheddar cheese (shredded)
8ox monterey jack (shredded)
4 oz parmesan cheese (grated)
2 cups heavy cream
salt/pepper

cook pasta... drain, no rinse
add pasta to large mix bowl, mix 1/2 of the cheeses, 2 cups heavy cream, stir and season. I added butter to the cooked pasta (I always do this).

Transfer to casserole dish, sprinkle remaining cheese on top, bake at 350F until cheese is bubbling

Thanks .

I do 95% of my shopping on the outer sections of the grocery store. Very little aisle shopping (canned foods, processed foods, etc). Veggies are pretty cheap though. Plus, they just taste better!

Same here... those isles will kill you in time.

IHOP - pancakes, eggs, and sausage. Ate part of my wife's new York cheesecake pancakes also.

On my NorCal farewell tour, went to one of my favorite restaurants in Napa Valley.

Risotto with lobster, meyer lemon and truffle oil followed by Halibut.
