'19 TN /WR Lance Wilhoite

With this kid, we need a top QB imo

i am warming up to the idea that we aren't going to sign an elite QB this class (could be, and obviously wouldn't be, upset if wrong mind you), and that we may have bigger fish in the next cycle. i do think we are going to get one this cycle, just may not be that franchise type of qb.

i think the qb situation right now isn't awful. you bought some time depth wise with Cryst. so you get JG for two more years and hopefully he is 'that guy' a lot of us think/hope he is/can be. you RS shrout this season, develop him and who knows what his potential is (could be sky high if you believe what you read about him).

so getting that top notch QB in the next cycle, kinda puts you on schedule.

i don't think our QB situation should scare anyone off, long story short.

Really hoping he feels and appreciates the new vibe that so many other recruits have noticed.

i'm sure he will.

just hope he signs here when it comes time. vibes being good and all is great. need some signatures in december and february.

Similarly, the staff is looking to make a move with 4-star wideout Lance Wilhoite on Friday. The FRA playmaker will finally get on campus to meet the new staff, bond with David Johnson and Pruitt. Wilhoite will attend Clemson's spring game on Saturday, as the Tigers, FSU, Ohio State and Arkansas are UT's biggest competition.

Harrison Bailey. Want. Real Bad.

Harrison Bailey. Want. Real Bad.

yeah, he seems to be toward the top of the board definitely. he's got suitors everywhere. maybe we get his WR teammate this cycle, and we get some peer recruiting?

i think DJ Uiagalelei is probably up there on the board as well. but he's a west coast kid, and also has his choice of suitors.

the good news is there's time with both of those kids. and i'm not sure which one is really 'better'. both are big, both play in decent HS conferences.

i definitely don't think we're done in 19, and we'll sign one, still some really good prospects. just can't see us going all in on any of the to shelf guys this year, and i'm not concerned about it really.

and i'm really intrigued by Shrout. a bit of a risk, but man, the ceiling really could be sky high for him. it'll be interesting to see how he develops over the next year or so.

As long as Alontae isn’t bitter about changing positions or anything like that

In his press conference yesterday Pruitt said Alontae had gone to him after practicing at corner and asked to stay there for a few more practices to really get it down so if they need him there he would be ready. I don't think you need to worry about that.

Nice, thanks for this

i think AT may be one of those gets to play both sides before the season is over. not worried at all about his playing opportunities....

Per VQ He’s going back to WR. Pruitt just wanted to see if he could play CB in case he needs him to play there down the road.

Pruitt said he might keep him at cb for the scrimmage Saturday but I guess that could have changed.
