Theyre still the Vancouver Grizzlies to me. Those jersey are classic as ugly as they may be.
Its basically a tie you cant argue that lol
First, we went through the whole list of playoff opponents of Jordan and James. The combined regular-season record of MJs postseason rivals was 1,981-1,053. LeBron James? 2,070-1,227
So yeah, MJs opponents did slightly better in the regular season on average than LeBrons.
Fair enough, oldhead.
What's funny is I agree with most posters on here about the current state of the NBA. It's too star-driven, too dainty, too focused on shooting threes and selling shoes than it is on beating the block down low and winning games with physicality.
But man, the grit-n-grind Grizz, rest in pieces, was some of the best basketball to watch over the last seven or so years, outside of San Antonio. What Z-bo and TA, plus Vince, did for this city over that timeframe was as close to the glory of national championships as I'm afraid Memphis will ever see...
...unless Penny works out.
And the teal/red are dope on a rope. Definitely classics.
Since we are on the subject of the GOAT, does anybody remember a game where MJ was sick, maybe had the flu, and put up like 50 something points? Or have I dreamed that?
Just bc guys give a mean look after a foul doesnt mean its better defense. The whole tougher era is just romanticizing the past. Players now shoot better than they ever have before the game is more spaced out Bc of it thus being more offense oriented. Doesnt mean iso or 1-1 defenders are lesser. Its just like saying nfl defenses were better in the80s Bc they scored less. No its bc most QBs werent as good and offenses were more ball control and run oriented.
